Silent Witness Whose Heartbeat Speaks

A fetus has been scheduled as a legislative witness in Ohio on a unique bill that proposes outlawing abortions after the first heartbeat can be medically detected.

Faith2Action has called the in-utero witness the youngest to ever come before the House Health Committee at 9 weeks old.

Faith2Action president Janet Folger Porter said the intent is to show lawmakers exactly who will be affected by the bill. Pro-abortion groups oppose. Ohio Right to Life has not endorsed the measure.

An aide to committee Chairman Lynn Wachtmann said a pregnant woman will be brought before the committee and an ultrasound image of her uterus will be projected onto a screen. The heartbeat of the fetus will be visible in color.

Taking Off The Blindfold & Exposing The Truth

I wanted to share with you the realities of what is going on surrounding whole-life efforts in the world as of recent mostly so that you can be informed AND encouraged. There is a lot of mixed media information and I want to strip it down to the facts.

For those who have been keeping up with my blog or who have been following reliable news sources you have heard about the undercover investigation videos lead by pro-life activist group, Live Action which capture Planned Parenthood employees in over 31 states, covering up cases of child sex abuse and the most recent videos reveal their willingness of child sex trafficking cover ups. These tapes are not manufactured and are not edited as the liberal media would like to claim. The full videos can be viewed at LiveAction.org so you can verify their authenticity for yourself there. Something we all need to consider is that regardless of our opinion about abortion the facts of these events cannot be ignored. CHILDREN are at risk and we must put our political agendas aside and realize the reality of what is going on inside these clinics. The recent exposure is not an attack on women's rights or health care it is an effort to defend and protect children. Period.

Many have seemingly ignored these serious allegations of abortion providers, specifically Planned Parenthood themselves simply because abortion is closely tied to the issue and is a well-known controversial topic, but abortion aside, recent evidence has come forward that solidifies that the abuse cover up and sexual exploitation of women and children is no longer a possible concern, it is a real concern. Meaning REAL LIFE CASES of child abuse have gone unreported by Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics in our country.

Phill Kline is former Kansas Attorney General and during his term he was the first person to ever attempt to bring criminal charges against Planned Parenthood. He was quickly silenced when Planned Parenthood affiliates attacked his character claiming he had ulterior motives for the investigation because of his open pro-life position. Despite the fact that Kline was able to uncover and charge a Kansas Planned Parenthood with 107 criminal charges, - including 23 felonies - efforts of the corrupt Supreme Court of Kansas, ( 5 of which were appointed by the Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, well-known advocate and supporter of Planned Parenthood), to delay and deter Phill Kline’s efforts are ongoing.

Kline is currently facing unfounded ethical charges for when he was in office and charged Planned Parenthood. Why? Because Planned Parenthood and their friends in the Kansas Supreme Court want to send a message to other prosecutors that if you look into and charge them with criminal activity, we will professionally destroy you. They don't want the Truth to get out of what goes on behind closed doors in their clinics. They don't want the world to see just how corrupt they truly are.

Well, it looks like the attempt by Planned Parenthood and their "partners in crime" to silence the truth is actually shining an even brighter light on just how corrupt they are. Yesterday evidence came forward in the case against Kline that reveals exactly what he has been trying to expose all this time which is that real-life cases of child abuse covers ups have been happening inside Planned Parenthood for years. It has come to light that in a span of two short years, 249 abortions were performed on children under the age of 15. 166 of those cases were abortions performed on children under the age of 14 - some as young as 10 years-old. Of these documented abortions only 4 cases of rape and child abuse were reported to authorities by Planned Parenthood and former abortionist George Tiller. That's just in Kansas alone, and does not include the cover ups they do in other states. Here is a recent interview with Phill Kline himself talking about the lack of child abuse reporting by Planned Parenthood.

Let me make it clear what has happened here. Planned Parenthood failed to report child abuse in well over half of these cases. They are required BY LAW to report every single one of these cases to the authority and in not doing so they have become serial law breakers, put countless children back into the arms of their abusers and should therefor have their access to government funds immediately cut off and held accountable for their crimes.

Here is the speech Jean Schmidt (R-OH) presented to the house regarding the realities of Planned Parenthood practices giving true-life examples of child abuse cover up cases and shares why we should listen to the majority of Americans (60% of both pro-life and pro-choice people) who want to defund our nation's largest organized crime syndicate - Planned Parenthood.

Are your blindfolds off yet? These are innocent children. Children who have been sexually abused and exploited. The right thing for Planned Parenthood and other clinics to do is report this abuse and get help for these vulnerable children but they have chosen instead to aid and abet in the abuse of these victims. Every compassionate American should be outraged by this. We as adults should be protecting children and it is time we hold Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics accountable for their crimes against children.

The excuse that "Planned Parenthood provides other helpful services" is no longer acceptable. Are we really willing to ignore child abuse and sexual exploitation of women and minors just so we can get cheaper sexual health services and maintain easy access to abortions? Because if we do not hold Planned Parenthood accountable for these crimes that is exactly what we are promoting.

We MUST urge our Senators and President Obama to deny any more funding for these corrupt organizations who have shown time and time again their willingness to ignore the laws put in place to protect children. I want to end on an encouraging note. Our efforts have already made a difference all over the country in recent months. In Virginia, an amendment was put in place that will require abortion clinics to be held to hospital standards. This will help to ensure more accountability through regulations. In states like Indiana, improved consent laws now require that abortion providers give more extensive information to women considering abortion such as the risks of infection, hemorrhage, breast cancer, infertility, and the unborn child’s ability to feel pain. This is a great step in the right direction of educating women about what abortion really does and is. For the first time ever in our history we are the majority. 51% of Americans identify themselves as pro-life. The truth about abortion is becoming harder and harder to ignore. These are just a few of the victories we can celebrate and there are other advances for Life currently in the works that I believe will also be marked as victories in the near future.

I share this to encourage all of you that like other injustices in our history show us - change doesn't happen overnight. Progress is what is important. We are making progress in this battle for Life. We must continue to focus our efforts on protecting women and children and I believe that in time, we will see the positive change we all hope for. We are definitely seeing the full meaning behind these words in recent weeks. Society has placed little to no value on the Life of the pre-born and now it is being revealed just how little value some have for the other most vulnerable among us. I'm speaking specifically about the complete disregard for the value and protection of the countless young girls (and boys) who are victims of child sex trafficking in the United States. For Planned Parenthood human value has been replaced by dollar signs.

The footage of the most recent undercover video released today shows a clinic supervisor and medical practitioner of a New York Planned Parenthood aiding and abetting sexual exploitation of minors, even telling the undercover "pimp" he could pose as the legal guardian for his underage sex workers, some as young as 13 years old! Apparently a guardian to Planned Parenthood can be a slave owner.

This was the third video released this week by LiveAction all of which reveal the same shocking reality of what goes on inside Planned Parenthood's across the country. Each of these "sting" operations confirm that these are not isolated incidents. All of these clinics have one thing in common - they break the law. The overwhelming and what appears to be "trained" response from Planned Parenthood staff to those who are posing as sex workers seeking abortions, STD testing and birth control for minors as young as 13 and 14 is to ignore and completely disregard the value and safety of these young victims.

Watch carefully all of the undercover investigation videos taken from inside Planned Parenthood clinics across the country HERE. It is disturbing that not a single one of the employees were bothered in the slightest to discover these individuals were involved in child prostitution. Instead of showing any concern or compassion for these young girls they ALL supplied ways to get around the law. They willingly and without question gave the sex traffickers information on how to obtain secret abortions, how to lie on the paperwork and "tweak" information and ultimately put these young girls back into the arms of their abusers.

Planned Parenthood and other abortion supporters are trying to make this merely an abortion debate. Claiming that "anti-abortion groups are simply trying to take down the organization and take away a woman's choice." I'm here to set the record straight...this is no longer simply about abortion...this is about criminal activity, this is about breaking the law, this is about aiding and abetting in the sexual exploitation of children.

300,000 children are trafficked in our country alone each year. That is a staggering number and Planned Parenthood has made it clear that they are active participants in this crime against children. Instead of reporting these cases of rape, abuse and violation of minors - which they are REQUIRED to by law - they are covering them up and sending these young people back into the arms of their abusers. They are actually PROFITING from the abuse because, as the videos reveal, they are willing to provide health services to the victims such as abortions, STD testing, and birth control - and they make a substantial profit from these services. It's disgusting when you think about it.

Any and all "pro-choice" advocates should be just as outraged by this. Coercion, forced abortions and child exploitation should not be tolerated or endorsed by anyone regardless on their stance on abortion. Sex slaves, like the young girls portrayed in these videos, are in no position to make their own choice on the matter - they take orders from their pimp - and therefor are being coerced and forced. This is clearly what is going on and Planned Parenthood is very unapologetic about their involvement.

We must hold them accountable for their crimes against humanity. These are daughters, sisters, future wives and mothers that are being repeatedly victimized and Planned Parenthood, in and of themselves, are acting as a pimp to the the pimps themselves. Plain and simple, they are breaking the law and it needs to end. Any other organization involved in this kind of criminal activity would be immediately prosecuted but because the issue of abortion is a "sensitive" subject, they are trying to overshadow the illicit crimes being committed here. Abortion debate aside...what is going on at Planned Parenthood's across the nation is wrong and we must bring accountability.

We must end ALL current government funding to Planned Parenthood. They have proven time and time again that they do not deserve the support of the American people. Currently they receive over $300,000 in tax payer funds (that is money from you and I) and regardless of their claims, the evidence speaks for itself, they are not obeying the laws that were put in place to protect women, so our financial support of their organization MUST come to an end. We as Americans refuse to be enablers to this kind of criminal behaviour anymore.

2. Call or contact your congressmen and voice your concern and outrage and tell them you don't want your tax dollars going to Planned Parenthood - this is SO important! SEND AN EMAIL RIGHT NOW!
3. Tell your friends, family co-workers, everyone you know about the truth and encourage others to follow these steps in order to EXPOSE PLANNED PARENTHOOD. Share what you know on Facebook, Twitter and other social outlets like email and personal websites or blogs.
4. Donate your time, treasure and talent to life-affirming centers and organizations whose goal is to help women and families in need. Give those in vulnerable situations a place of hope where they can go as an alternative to places like Planned Parenthood. FIND A LOCAL LIFE CENTER IN YOUR AREA AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT.

This is an uncomfortable subject but we NEED to get uncomfortable about it. Afterall, it is because of the support of you and I from our tax dollars that these kinds of crimes are able to continue. The fact is, we could have prevented this expansion of abortion with a single vote. If one pro-life Senator had held fast, the outcome could have been completely different.

The Life issue was decided on one vote.

Celebrating The Value Of Older Adults

At the same time that medical improvements over the past decade enable us to grow older and healthier, there is an alarming trend of devaluing older adults.

Our region will have twice as many people age 65 and older by 2030. We are not prepared for this "age wave." Aging issues continue to be ignored. Resources for older people are shrinking in large part due to ageism. We live in a youth-focused society. Older adults are often seen as dependent, helpless, unproductive and demanding rather than deserving and contributing.

Ageism can involve stereotypes and myths, or outright disdain and dislike (e.g., "I don't like working with older people"). In some cases, ageism means avoiding contact with older people. Ageism includes the wide range of attitudes that prevent people from accurately assessing and responding to social problems and conditions of older adults. Ageism can be reflected in discriminatory practices in housing, employment, and services of all kinds.

Aging is a universal issue that affects the entire community. As we face the increasing number of retiring baby boomers, we need to confront our perceptions of aging. We can begin by understanding how older adults enrich us.

Older adults contribute time, skills and experience to improve people's lives.

Sarah, a 70-year-old retired occupational therapist, formed a support group for families of adults with developmental disabilities. Three days a week, she teaches living and communication skills to adults with developmental disabilities.

Gene, in his 60s, has been in recovery from substance abuse and mental illness for more than a year. He obtained a peer support specialist certificate. Now he works part time, helping others to understand the need for compliance with their medications and recovery from mental illness.

Hattie, an 80-year-old grandmother is raising her teenage grandson. She has a wit and vibrancy that belies her age. She is one of more than 17,000 grandparents raising grandchildren in Detroit so that thousands of children are able to learn in school and grow up to become contributing adults.

Instead of depicting older people as a "problem," we need to recognize that our future depends upon addressing injustices they face. Let us honor the value of older adults in our lives as our mentors, caregivers, teachers and leaders. Let us confront our bias and invest more to prepare for our aging community. It is in our best interests to do so because even if you don't have an older adult in your life now, one day you are likely to become one.

The CPC is excited to be one of 20 local organizations to be invited to help IHOP celebrate 20 years of service to the Terre Haute community. On September 2^nd, $1.00 for every Terre Haute IHOP paid customer will be donated to the Terre Haute Crisis Pregnancy!

Hundreds of people a day enjoy a meal at the Terre Haute IHOP, but obviously, the more guests the CPC can generate, the more funds can be raised. That’s why we’re reaching out to you, as a supporter / board member / client to encourage you to eat a meal at IHOP on September 2^nd, and to please spread the word to your family and friends to do the same.

The Missing Piece by Lee Ezell | Pro-life Book Review

I wanted to share with you a book I recently read by Lee Ezell entitled The Missing Piece.

This is a true story written about Lee Ezell's own personal life experiences. At a very young age Lee found herself in a very bad situation. She was raped and became pregnant as a result of that rape. Ezell shares the emotions she experienced and how she turned to God and ultimately chose adoption for her baby. She talks about life before, during and after her pregnancy and adoption and how she eventually reunites with her daughter after many years. It is a story about life, choices and love.

I appreciated her perspective because she represents a small percentage of which is very controversial but seldom considered. She gives the reader insight into the thoughts and questions a woman in her situation faces. It gives this global issue a more personal view. The Missing Piece is an inspiring story of a touching reunion that will provide hope for those needing peace from God. It is definitely a recommended read. Lee Ezell is the author of 8 award-winning books and after reading this one I certainly want to check out her others.

Declare Independence...from abortion

On the 4th of July, the United States of America celebrates independence. There is no other place in the world who has freedom like we as Americans do. And yet, we seem to think that some of us are more entitled to freedom than others. We have classified organized killing of our unborn children as a freedom of choice and at the same time deny the unborn the freedom to live. A freedom that they inherited from the moment of conception. Something we should never have the right to take away from them.

"We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"

When discussing the issue of abortion two key words must be highlighted in this infamous phrase from the United States Declaration of Independence. The first is CREATED. We were CREATED equal...not BORN equal. So many do not credit the unborn as being human and to those people I ask; "when are you going to get with the times??" Science has confirmed without a doubt that life begins at conception. A new life is CREATED at the moment of fertilization...not at birth...but at the very moment that the sperm fertilizes the egg. This is not a matter of opinion, this is scientific fact. Therefore, if all men are created equal, then this must include the unborn. The other word that is of great importance here is LIFE. It does not say birth, or exclude life altogther for that matter...it says LIFE is an unalienable right and if science has proven that life begins at the moment of conception, then again, we must extend the same freedoms to the unborn.

They are not called the "unalive" they are called unborn because while they are not yet born that does not mean they are not yet alive. Science tells us that they are, in fact, alive and part of the human race. Abortion destroys human lives and strips away their inherited freedoms. We must unite as a nation and declare independence from abortion. We must recognize the injustice and work to end it. Laws were made to protect the weak and we must outlaw the act of abortion that takes away the freedom of these fragile young Americans.

Contact your local life-affirming centers and pro-life politicians and start working to establish freedom for the unborn. If we stand united, we can bring about the change necessary to ensure that all Americans, even the smallest, have true freedom.

Abortion Leads To A Dead End

It is still hard for me to understand how animals are afforded rights in our society with laws that enforce their protection and yet human unborn babies are not protected under law and have virtually no rights.
Legally, the fertilized egg of an eagle has more rights than an unborn child. And in Wisconsin, stepping on a snail can land you in jail - with a $10,000 fine. But a woman can have her baby killed, for a price, right into the ninth month of pregnancy - all within the confines of the law.

Abortion is a big business. And the abortionists are making a killing. They are rewarded with blood money for the slaughtering of innocent human beings. How is abortion any different than murder-for-hire? If a wife hires a hitman to murder her husband, it is a crime. But if a mother hires an abortionist (the hitman) to murder her unborn child, it is a choice. That is a flawed logic that is hard to believe is still widely accepted.

Since abortion became legal in 1973, our nation has lost an entire generation to abortion. We are beginning to see some of the effects of that diabolical decision, as universities nationwide find themselves strapped for students. How many Michelangelos and Beethovens have we destroyed in the name of choice? How many Einsteins and Edisons have we erased from the pages of human progress?

Abortion advocates repeatedly cite instances of rape and incest in their defense of abortion. However, only 2% of the 1.5 million+ abortions committed in the US every year are for reasons other than mere convenience.What is convenient is not always best, or right. In the case of abortion, Easy Street is a dead end.

A vibrant, educated, well-loved young woman from Rhode Island named Lindsay Ann Burke was murdered at age 23 by her abusive boyfriend. (READ HER FULL STORY HERE) Since Lindsay's death, her family has made valiant efforts to ensure that other women and their families do not fall victim to abuse, including the creation of a memorial fund and website that shares Lindsay's own personal story of abuse that ultimately lead to her death as well as facts and warning signs of abusive relationships and behaviors. It was created to help young women find help, hope, and shelter from an abusive relationship.

A recently approved law in Rhode Island called the Lindsay Ann Burke Act requires all public middle and high schools to teach students about dating violence in their health classes. The law mandates teaching the warning signs of an abusive relationship in the public high schools. But more than just signs of abuse, the classes also teach skills for building healthy romantic relationships as well as healthy friendships.The National Association of Attorneys General has passed a resolution that the classes be offered at schools everywhere in the United States, and Liz Claiborne Inc. is helping to promote the idea across the country.

Having taught young adults in high school, I have seen young girls confuse controlling behavior for love and I myself, have been a victim of an abusive relationship. Though it's never easy to make someone see abuse for what it is when she's under the spell of romance (or fear, as the case so often is), maybe educating our youth about the difference between healthy passion and dangerous obsession will help prevent women from ever entering in to toxic relationships.

Jill Stanek testified, under oath, as well as did other nurses, that this kind of disregard to human life was happening in our hospitals. The Born Alive Infant Protection Act enacted in 2002 by Congress extends legal protection to an infant born alive after a failed attempt at induced abortion. These are the kinds of laws we need enforced and protected and it takes public leaders who strongly value the life every human being.

The same political figure who voted against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act THREE TIMES is also the same man who created the current health care bill that seeks to expand abortions across the nation with the funding of our tax dollars. Do you now see the importance of voting pro-life?

Don't vote for political parties. Vote for leaders who will create and defend laws that protect human lives.

Teen Pressures

Teens are pressured into having sex everyday. There are different forms of sexual pressures but all of them lead to one thing: unwanted sex. Let's be honest, just because someone says yes to sex does not always mean they are a willing participant. If there is pressure behind the sex, then it really isn't a desired decision, but is more accurately defined as coerced sex. Amongst teenagers, this kind of pressure is more common and more harmful than one might think.

Teenage Girls & Sexual Pressure

There have been studies that show nearly half of teenage girls felt pressured into having sex on at least one occasion. Nearly a quarter reported having oral sex to "avoid having sexual intercourse" with a partner.

Approximately one in three adolescent girls in the United States is a victim of physical, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner – a figure that far exceeds victimization rates for other types of violence affecting youth. Nearly 40 percent of those girls also admitted to having unwanted sex because they were afraid that their boyfriend would be angry if they said no. Ten percent, though, said their partner forced them to have sex when they didn’t want to

Emerging Issues:

One in five teen girls have electronically sent or posted nude or semi-nude photos or videos of themselves. Even more teen girls, 37 percent, have sent or posted sexually suggestive text, email or IM (instant messages).
More than half of teen girls (51 percent) say pressure from a guy is a reason girls send sexy messages or images
Twelve percent of teen girls who have sent sexually suggestive messages or images say they felt “pressured” to do so.

Teenage Guys and Sexual Pressure

One in three boys ages 15-17 say they feel pressure, often from male friends, to have sex. Some boys claim having sex is more important than feeling the pleasure that comes with it. Being able to tell their friends is sometimes more important than any pleasure that they would share with their intimate or sexual partner.

18 percent of teen boys say pressure from a girl is a reason they sent sexy messages or images.

Eight in 10 teens say that a lot of people their age drink or use drugs before having sex and about a quarter said that alcohol or drugs had influenced their decision to do something sexual at least once.

These unwanted sexual experiences result in risk for sexually transmitted infections and pregnancies. Unwanted sex -- including rape and being pressured into sex -- has been related to depression and anxiety disorders in teenage girls. The physical and emotional effects that result from unwanted, or coerced sex are real and can both be equally as damaging to young teens.

Positive Approaches To The Pressures Teens Face

We need to give guidance to teens on how to communicate with each other, that means helping them to take more control over their sexual activity, and to understand what constitutes as pressure. The majority of teens believe that abstinence before marriage is a good thing but they also view abstinence as something that is unattainable. We need to reinforce the reality that practicing chastity is not only rewarding and effective, but it's possible, it is an attainable goal. We can do this by focusing on the positives of chastity and why it is so rewarding.

Positives of Chastity

Clarity of vision -you can value the relationship beyond sexual pleasure
Encourages creativity - allows you to find creative ways to express how you love and care for someone in creative, non-physical ways
Lower Divorce Rate -couples who marry as virgins have a 70% lower divorce rate
Training in faithfulness - couples who save sex for marriage are 6 times more likely to be faithful to their spouse in marriage
Your "yes" means so much more -if you never say "no" to sex then what is your "yes" really worth?
Frees us to love -you're not in it for the taking but in it to give, not give it away, but give a gift of yourself, only with self control can you make a gift of yourself

Encouraging chastity is not enough...we need to live it. We need to be an example to our world that chastity is not only good and rewarding but it works!

Why This Famous Female Regrets Her Abortion

On the May 9 episode of the VH1 reality show, 'What Chilli Wants', TLC hip hop girl group member Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas opened up about her abortion.

In the video Chilli described aborting at age 20 for unfortunately common reasons, because she "didn't have the support" and "was so scared."...

This was also at the beginning of her musical career, she said, and she didn't know how she could do both it and motherhood.

So Chilli opted to "not have it" (couldn't say "abortion"), which turned out to be "one of the biggest mistakes," because she "didn't want to do that."

Then Chilli began to describe what abortion proponents say doesn't exist, post abortive stress syndrome as a result of her abortion. "It messed me up," she said, "I don't know, it broke my spirit."

Chilli felt she lost her "strong self," and that she "gave in, broke to what someone else wanted." Obviously, she felt pressured to abort.

She said she began to break down, to cry "because I wasn't a mommy" - almost every day for almost 9 years.

Chilli decided the only way to "fix it" was to have a baby with the same man, her 1st record producer, Dallas Austin .

Chilli doesn't talk about this in the video, but she indeed had a baby with Austin, son Tron, now ~13 years old, pictured right with her.

I very much appreciate Chilli's honesty.

It is brave women like her coming forward and sharing their painful, yet true and life changing stories that will help other women and bring awareness about the issue of abortion.

Planned Parenthood apparently thinks moms want donations made in their name to promote their pro-abortion agenda from those lucky enough to not have been aborted themselves.

Cecile Richards, the current president of the largest abortion business in the nation, sent out Planned Parenthood's annual Mother's Day fundraiser today.

"It's almost Mother's Day ... and if you have a mother in your life who's anything like me or my mom (the late Texas Governor Ann Richards), then you know nothing would make her happier than a gift that represents bold and compassionate values. Like a gift in her honor to Planned Parenthood Federation of America," she writes.

"We've made it quick and easy — and we've even made it pretty," Richards adds. "Honor a mother in your life with a gift to Planned Parenthood. [It's] a gift your loved one will appreciate — and remember."

But I think Planned Parenthood would make more from its fundraising appeal if it didn't make it so there are fewer people who could give. Planned Parenthood could make even more money from its shameless exploitation of Mothers Day if they stopped making women childless from abortion, a better Mothers Day gift would be to organizations that help women cherish their motherhood, and that is life-affirming pregnancy resource centers. Give the gift of Life this Mother's Day and donate to your local pregnancy center in your mother's name and help other mothers in need and their children.

Honesty and Direction

Yesterday, I spoke at a high school in Indiana about self value and healthy relationships where I had the opportunity to share my own personal story along with some facts that I put together in a presentation to some wonderful teens. (you can view my presentation and personal testimony *here*)

I spoke to my first audience of teenage students in March of this year and previous to that had always felt a need to step out and really reach out to our youth. I feel I have a unique perspective on the subject because of my own personal experiences and really wanted to provide these young people with the truth about love and relationships. I have always felt like we as a society were failing them by not educating them about not only the risks of casual sex but the positive rewards of practicing chastity.

It has always bothered me that the approach of abstinence based programs were more to scare the kids out of having sex instead of showing them how awesome sex can be if they wait! Rather than focusing on the benefits of chastity, the focal point seemed to be on the dangers of promiscuity and careless sex. Yes, we need to address both the negative consequences but we need to discuss the positive outcomes. I think there would be more success stories if we try to focus on the positives rather than the negatives.

I mean, if we're just telling them the bad things that could happen because of their poor choices they will just think "sex is bad" and sex is meant to be good when it is experienced within the exclusive bond of marriage. But if we don't tell them WHY it is BETTER within marriage then they are just going to assume that sex is sex so why wait when I can have it now?

I have had some positive responses from a few of these teens who have contacted me after my talks and I really feel like that is because 1. I was real with them. I told them the truth and made myself approachable...I didn't stand up there and talk at them, I allowed them to see that I am simply a normal person with a normal life and that it doesn't take a special person to make good choices, it just takes strength and courage...something that they all have and can use if they choose. And 2. I didn't focus on the negative aspects of careless sex, but instead the positive REWARDS of waiting. I really believe that this is key to reaching them so that they have a true understanding that they are in control and they have the ability to make great choices when it comes to relationships.

These young people are being sent all the wrong messages on t.v. through music and by many of the adults in their lives. We have made the excuse that "they are teenagers, teenagers have sex" but instead of buying into that, we need to take a stand and say "they are valuable individuals who deserve the BEST!" That's my heart's desire. I hope that I will have more opportunities to connect with our youth in the future and that others will join me in sharing the truth to these young people who just need a little honesty and direction.

Teen Pregnancy Prevention

May is Teen Pregnancy Prevention Awareness Month.

For me, reaching our youth and educating them about the importance of healthy relationships and making positive choices is essential! I believe that if our young people are equipped with truth and awareness they will be more likely to succeed and it's our responsibility as individuals, as parents and as a society, to prepare these young men and women for the challenges they may encounter. I think the first way in which we are failing our youth is by not giving them the tools they need to make educated and healthy choices. We are sending them mixed messages about sex by saying on the one hand, yes, abstinence is the only true 100% effective way to prevent pregnancy but then also telling them that they are going to have sex anyway so they should "protect" themselves with condoms and other types of contraceptives. How is that really protecting them? We all KNOW that "safe sex" is a broken concept because we can no longer even call it "safe sex" we now call it "safER sex" because it's not safe, it's not truly protecting them from the consequences of careless sex.

1 in 5 adolescents currently have an STD
Nearly 50% of teenage girls become pregnant while using the contraceptive pill and over 70% become pregnant while using condoms.
The percentage of pregnancies that occur from abstinence is 0%.

What is perhaps the most intriguing about these statistics is that the numbers come from Planned Parenthood - the very organization that aggressively advocates the use of contraceptives. They admit that their methods are, at best, insufficient for their target audience. The federal government should look at these numbers and then focus its efforts on the inevitable success of abstinence instead of the inevitable failure of contraceptives. Planned Parenthood and its allies in the sex education business have shown animosity towards federal funding for abstinence education. But at least abstinence actually works. If you don’t have sex, you won’t get pregnant. It works every time.

With contraception, we can absolutely predict that some sexual encounters will result in pregnancy. The young, the poor and the unmarried are the most likely to experience a contraceptive failure. For these groups, pregnancy is not a rare accident, but highly likely. When the inevitable pregnancy occurs, guess who is ready to help solve her problem? That’s right: Planned Parenthood will sell her an abortion. The same people who teach sex education, which increases the demand for purchasing contraception, also sell the “solution” to contraceptive failure, which is abortion. Yet the federal government spends about $12 on contraceptive-related programs to every $1 spent on abstinence education.

We don’t give federal grants to tobacco companies to teach students “low-risk” forms of smoking on the grounds that “kids are going to smoke anyway.” We shouldn’t be giving federal grants to groups that sell contraception, to teach kids to use contraception.

Ever heard the phrase: "Medically Accurate, Comprehensive Sex Education"?

To the average person, a program that claims to be “comprehensive” and “medically accurate” sounds very acceptable. At face value it is almost understandable that school boards and city councils would be taken in by a program described like this.

However, the problem is that when Planned Parenthood claims that its sex ed programs will be “comprehensive” and “medically accurate,” it is lying, plain and simple. According to Planned Parenthood “condom use is, by far, a superior safer sex strategy.”

If that were PP’s rationale, then it would only advocate for abstinence before marriage and fidelity to one’s spouse afterward, as it is the most “superior safer sex strategy” since it is 100 percent effective. We contend that the real reason Planned Parenthood doesn’t support abstinence focused education is simply because it isn’t one of the services PP sells.

I do believe that the abstinence focused education needs to focus more on the benefits of why practicing chastity is a positive thing, not just that it prevents pregnancy and STDs but that valuing ourselves and our sexuality enough to wait allows for true freedom and expression. Because the time will come where we can share ourselves freely and openly without fear of negative consequences and that time should come with the certainty that our spouse shares the same love, honor and respect that we have for them. You can't have the kind of freedom and respect outside of marriage, that's the reality. Chastity is not about preventing so much as it is about providing a foundation for true love and true freedom. That's the message I believe our teens need to hear.

So here is the deal… we all can read articles and think or say how terrible they are, but how many of us actually go and try to do something about the injustice? As for the doctors who willingly commit these murders on the future of tomorow, are we not also partially accomplices to this? If we just sit around and let these things happen we are guilty of allowing this kind of human rights violation to occur. How easy is it for us to say "oh, that's horrible" then go on with our day as though nothing happened or to assume someone else will fight the fight for you, or worse, claim neutrality on the issue so as not to "offend" anyone. Yes, abortion is horrible, but what are we doing to stop it? Don't wait, don't put it out of your mind, don't say I'll do something about it tomorrow. We need to join together NOW and stop the killing of our children. Because if our children's lives are vulnerable to this kind of inhumanity, who is next? Don't just be outraged, be moved to action! This is YOUR moment of choice...in the end, YOU CHOOSE what kind of person you are going to be? A person who stands up for those who cannot speak for themselves or a person who stands by and allows this kind of injustice to happen to thousands of innocent human lives each and every day.

Conservationist

This animation was created to encourage thought on Earth Day and it really says a lot. How can we care about the environment if we don't care about humanity? I believe there is a strong correlation between the lack of respect for life and the lack of respect for our planet as a whole. If we don't think twice about destroying our own species, then why should we be expected not to destroy our planet with the same sense of dispassion?

I also must note that there is a difference between an environmentalist and a conservationist. An environmentalist flaps their lips, yet a conservationist works for harmony between humans and the environment. We need to care for our Earth but with the goal being that we are working to improve and protect the lives of humans. This kind of conservationist mentality should begin with respecting and protecting the lives of even the smallest, weakest and most vulnerable among us.

If we want to see respect in other aspects of our lives, such as in the care and protection of our planet, then we must first respect the value of human life from the moment of conception until natural death.

Generation Next Proving To Be Primarily Pro-Life

Abortion activists at NARAL, a radical pro-abortion organization, are running out of committed supporters and don’t know why.

The group just released survey results showing an “intensity gap” among young voters. More than half (51%) of pro-lifers under age 30 considered abortion a “very important” voting issue, compared to just 26% of abortion-minded youth. This comes at the heels of a Gallup poll announcing that 18- to 29-year-olds are now the most likely, of all age groups, to favor making abortion illegal in all circumstances.

The wave of pro-life passion puzzles NARAL President Nancy Keenan. In this week’s Newsweek magazine, Keenan recalled her visit to the March for Life rally in Washington, DC. The annual event drew tens of thousands of energized pro-lifers. “I just thought, my gosh, there are so many of them and they are so young,” she told the reporter.

Pro-abortion activists aren’t accustomed to seeing so many young people in their circles. A natural ouffshoot of choosing a line of work that promotes death. But like most other abortion proponents, Keenan can’t seem to connect the dots. Where, they marvel, have all their young supporters gone? Former NARAL President Kate Michelman admits information is on the side of pro-lifers. “The technology has clearly helped to define how people think about a fetus as a full, breathing human being,” she told Newsweek. “The other side has been able to use the technology to its own end.”

And she’s right. Our mission is to educate communities with the truth, and we’re succeeding every day. Mothers continually tell us they decided against an abortion because they saw their baby by ultrasound. That they changed their mind because they read a brochure about the development of their unborn baby.

But there’s an even more obvious, and tragic explanation for NARAL’s problem. The mathematical reality is that their supporters grew up, exercised their “right” to kill their children, and now who’s left? A lot of blossoming families who do value life.

The beauty of the pro-life movement is our children. From small beginnings, they grow to become influential young adults who can stand for life, because they have it. Until every child is guaranteed that right to life, we will continue to fight with passion, with hope and with truth on our side.

2010 Terre Haute CPC Banquet

I've been involved with the Terre Haute, Indiana Crisis Pregnancy Center for many years. In fact, I used to play at the center when I was a little girl while my mom volunteered. I remember the old building vividly, the posters of the stages of a developing baby on the walls, the play room of toys for clients who had children, the small office in the back where my brother and I used to hang out while mom volunteered. Now, as a grown woman, I am seeing just how much the center has grown since I was a little girl. It's wonderful to see the positive changes that have happened over the years.

Last night was the Annual CPC Pro-life Banquet and Executive Director and life-long friend, Sharon Carey shared just what the center has accomplished over the past year and some of their goals and plans for the future. It's exciting to be a part of something you KNOW is making a difference in lives. It's so rewarding to know that you've even touched one life.

I have been involved in countless numbers of their Walk For Life campaigns and this past year I took professional photographs of the event -- it was rewarding to see those photos were used as part of the presentation last night. I got a little teary eyed seeing those photos flash up on the giant screen in front of an audience of over 800 people. I was able to use my passion for life and for photography for a great cause and felt overwhelmed by the blessing of it.

I was also encouraged to hear from the CPR program staff last night that they are now using my Healthy Relationships presentation that I did at a local high school last month as part of their program. For me this is personally HUGE! I went through a lot of struggles as a young teen and I know a lot of our young people are going through those same struggles and to be able to speak to them on a real level and possibly help them make positive life choices, particularly when it comes to relationships means that all of those struggles and all of the pain was not in vain. I am now using my past experiences to help people which turned a time in my life that was terrible into something good! SO AWESOME!

One volunteer named Sarah shared her testimony last night of how her heart has been rewarded by volunteering. An abortion-minded young mother came into the clinic and when that woman left she was still set on getting an abortion. Sarah prayed for this young girl and even sent her a card saying she wanted to be there for her no matter what her decision was but never heard back from the young woman. Sarah's profession is a delivery nurse so she knows very well about the miracle of life because she welcomes babies into the world everyday. 9 months after her interaction with this abortion-minded mother, she found herself in the delivery room with that young mother as the nurse who would deliver that very baby! It was so inspiring to hear her say "When I heard that baby cry for the first time, it was the most beautiful sound I'd ever heard and I've heard a lot of babies cry, but this cry was special." The mother then told Sarah that her card was the reason she kept her baby. She said she would hold it and say to herself "I can do this." More often than not, all these young women need is hope and encouragement. They need loving support and that is exactly why places like the CPC exist.

Abortion survivor, Gianna Jessen was the guest speaker and she is a lively young thing despite all she's been through. I was able to meet her and she signed her self-entitled book that I plan to do a review on once I have the chance to read it.

It was an all-around positive event. Because pregnancy centers like the CPC are NOT government funded and ALL of their services are FREE, they rely on generous donations from the community. They had hoped to raise $70,000 last night and they actually were able to raise over $96,000! This is HUGE for the ministry, so that no young woman will ever be turned away, and more lives can be saved.

I encourage all of you to get involved with your local life-affirming pregnancy center. Volunteer your time, talent and yes, your money to help these young women and men who so desperately need our love and support. I'm certain you will be glad you did!

Post-Abortion Healing Weekend Retreats

April is Abortion Recovery Awareness Month, and though I always try to be sensitive to those who may be recovering from an abortion, this month I have been trying to reach out, show compassion and offer hope to women and men who may be suffering from post-abortion heartache. There are millions of individuals who know the hurt of a past abortion but many may not know that there is hope and healing after an abortion. There are many great groups and organizations that offer support and compassion and one of those that has had wonderful feedback, results and success is Rachel's Vineyard which offers several resources including weekend retreats.

Rachel's Vineyard weekends for healing after abortion are offered throughout the year in locations across the United States and Canada, with additional sites in Portugal, Australia and New Zealand. The program is an opportunity to examine your own abortion experience, identify the ways that the loss has impacted you in the past and present, and helps to acknowledge any unresolved feelings that many individuals struggle with after abortion.

Married couples, mothers, fathers, grandparents and siblings of aborted children, as well as persons who have been involved in the abortion industry have come to Rachel's Vineyard in search of peace and inner healing. Unacceptable Inconsistencies

There are many contradictions in the law when it comes to the protection of the unborn. Abortion is legal in the United States and in many parts of the world which suggests that killing a child within the womb is OK with society, but then cases like this story I read, about a man being charged for murder after he forced his girlfriend into having an unwanted abortion that contradict the idea that killing an unborn child is OK.

Sayre police on Wednesday charged Orbin Eeli Tercero, 38, with criminal homicide of an unborn child, first-degree murder of an unborn child, aggra vated assault of an unborn child, aggravated assault, hindering apprehension or prosecution, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

Tercero, of Williamson Terrace, was arrested Thursday by state police in Bath as a fugitive from justice.

He was arraigned in Bath Village Court and remanded to Steuben County Jail, pending a hearing on extradition to Pennsylvania.

The charges are based on the following events, according to police:

The victim, a 36-year-old woman from Sayre and a pharmacist at a Wegmans Market, said she had a two-year physical relationship with Tercero, also a Wegmans pharmacist.

Tercero was engaged to another woman at the time.

The victim, whose name is being withheld by this newspaper, told Tercero she was pregnant in mid-January.

Tercero told the woman he could use the drug misoprostol to induce a miscarriage. The victim told Tercero she would get an abortion instead.

The victim, however, made a Feb. 24 appointment for an abortion but changed her mind. She called Tercero to tell him she would keep the baby.

In late February, on the victim’s birthday, Tercero visited her at home and used misoprostol he allegedly stole from Wegmans pharmacy to cause the miscarriage.

Without her knowing it, Tercero put one pill in her vagina, one in her juice and one in her water. She was 13 weeks pregnant at the time.

When the victim began to miscarry, she found a partially dissolved misoprostol tablet among the discharge.

Tercero drove the victim to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, where she miscarried.

Is it fair to suggest that society's view is that if the unborn child is "unwanted" then it is OK to kill him or her but if the unborn child is WANTED and someone causes harm to that child or kills that child then it is a crime? See the inconsistencies there? So why is it that the unborn have rights in some cases and not in others?

Killing an unborn child against the mother’s will is homicide in some 38 states. (Fetal Ho micide Laws) But here’s where the schizophrenia sets in: every single state has an exception for abortion, thanks to Roe v. Wade. So if the mother consents to the child’s death, it’s not murder. How’s that for logic?

We clearly recognize the unborn as living human beings or we wouldn't have fetal homicide laws but we choose to turn our heads to the intentional killing of the unborn so long as we cloak the act with the word abortion or choice and dehumanize that child by denying their dignity and basic human rights. Abortion is the ultimate human rights violation of our time and we need to stop turning our heads and start protecting life even at it's earliest and most vulnerable.

Euthanasia &The Value Of Life

Euthanasia is a much debated topic. There are those who think of it as a "compassionate means to end pain and suffering" and those who believe that we should not be the ones who can decide who lives or dies and/or determine a life's worth. The growing concern is that the definition of quality of life and pain and suffering is so very broad and varies with opinion that by using these concepts as a validation for Euthanasia we are allowing ourselves to be vulnerable to the possibility that anyone can determine whether our life is no longer worth living.

This was the case for Terri Schiavo. 5 years ago today, Terri Schindler Schiavo, pictured below, died by order of the courts.

For those who may not know the FULL story behind Terri's tragic death please visit the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation website. We must never forget what happened to Terri and we must fight for others like her. It's not enough to be simply pro-life. We must be WHOLE life and respect life from it's earliest beginnings to it's most fragile end. There is no life more valuable or less valuable than the next no matter what your race, sex or background is. ALL life should be protected.

Here is a great video of a young girl who tackled the topic of Euthanasia for her 8th grade speech class. She makes some excellent points and proves to be quite passionate for such a young age.

Luke Gormally said, "Society's prohibition of intentional killing...is the cornerstone of law and social relationships. It protects each of us impartially, embodying the belief that all are equal."

Youth Outreach Opportunity

This past Friday, I had the opportunity to speak at an Indiana high school about self-value and healthy relationships. A friend of mine is the director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Terre Haute, Indiana and for years I have wanted to get involved with our youth and promote the importance of positive life choices. I contacted my friend, Sharon Carey and told her that I really felt I had a heart's desire to get involved in some way with young teens. She put me in contact with Jill Shingleton, the current coordinator of the abstinence-based program for schools and set a date for me to go and share my testimony at a local high school, coincidentally it was where I had grown up as a young teenager. I had never done anything like this and have always had a bit of a fear of public speaking, but I really felt a tug on my heart to do this. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and did what I felt I needed to do and all I can say is WOW! How rewarding this experience was!

These young people were so attentive and respectful and during my talk I could see on several of their faces that they had a whole new perspective on relationships, sex and about themselves. It was powerful! I had some incredible feedback and already have an additional date scheduled to speak at another local Indiana high school in May! I am very much looking forward to more opportunities like this. Empowering young people to want the best for themselves and for others is so fulfilling!

I must note that my presentation has been edited for web format. My testimony was part of the program delivered in a public classroom setting but was not originally put into slides. In the classroom setting, I simply told my story verbally, not written out as seen on the slides. Keep The Hope ALIVE!

I think we could all use some good news after yesterday's devastating vote that imposed government funding of abortion under the guise of health care. More than 2,500 babies have been saved from abortion during the 40 Days for Life campaign that we know of so far. Just this spring there have been 368 babies saved (that we know of) Not only have those babies been spared from abortion, but the impact was also felt with each of their mothers and fathers. So that’s roughly 7,500 lives directly impacted by our prayers and efforts. And as we know, even pro-abortion workers, like Abby Johnson have been positively impacted by the campaign. So despite the government's efforts to expand abortion on demand we have to find hope that we are making a difference one life at a time. Saving even one life is a victory. Do not let this health care bill passing discourage you. We have been called to do the work and to not give up no matter what difficulties we are faced with.
After all, our efforts are not to make abortion illegal...but to make it unthinkable. If we can educate and empower our world that abortion is an unthinkable act, it won't matter if it is legal there will be no one left asking for abortions which means no more business for these abortion clinics and eventually we will see an end to the destruction of human lives. With hope, anything is possible. Keep the hope ALIVE! Together, we can do this.

Time Is Running Out - Act Now!

Nancy Pelosi and her allies are currently negotiating with key pro-life Democrats to try and secure their vote for their pro-abortion health care plan.

What's on the negotiating table? A proposed executive order from President Obama that would allegedly bar abortion funding in the health care bill.

An executive order is an ineffective maneuver and completely unacceptable.
Here's why:

1. An executive order can be rescinded any time. President Obama could reverse it next week, next month, or next year. Should another pro-abortion president be elected in the future, it could be rescinded on inauguration day.

2. An executive order will not prevent insurance companies that provide abortion from participating in the exchanges.

3. Abortion funding in the health care legislation can only be removed using the legislative process. An executive order not only doesn't fix the problem, it isn't needed to fix the problem, and could not stand a legal challenge. If Democrats are serious about protecting taxpayers from funding abortion in the health care bill, they must use the legislative process to fix the problem.

ACTION:
Call the following members of Congress immediately and tell them that an executive order by the president on abortion is unacceptable and urge them to vote NO on the pro-abortion health care bill.

I'm Not Asking For A Favor....

Every minute, new information comes in about a wavering member of Congress or of strategic information from Republican or Democratic leadership.

Without prayer, I am 100% sure we will lose. With it, the consciences of wavering members can be stirred and emboldened. While this is not a religious organization, we cannot succeed without prayer. So will you please take just a few minutes, join the millions of others who are also praying that this bill fails and our nation's children will be protected from the carnage that would result from its passage? This is a defining moment when prayer -- our most powerful lobbying tool-- needs to be used for strength and victory.

The leaders -- especially Bart Stupak, Eric Cantor, Michele Bachmann, John Boehner and Mike Pence who have led the charge in these final days to protect Life and warn others that THIS IS NOT A GAME, need our support and prayer. Pray that they enter the battle this weekend with the same energy and courage and love they have shown thus far.

Youth Choosing Life

While I am not a fan of MTV, they have a show that is impacting our work. The second season of 16 & Pregnant is well underway, giving viewers an inside peak — reality TV style — of how young girls are deciding to handle unexpected pregnancies.

But it seems there’s something unexpected for the producers, too. They posted on the show’s site, “Have you noticed that not one of the teen girls in this series has opted for abortion, much less seriously considered it upon finding out that she was pregnant? The decision has consistently remained between two alternatives: keep the baby or make an adoption plan.”

MTV, who was boggled by this, initiated a poll, asking viewers what they thought about the issue. 55% indicated they do not believe in abortion, reflecting a growing trend of more and more young people voicing pro-life convictions. Last week’s Gallup poll showed 18- to 29-year-olds are now the most likely, of all age groups, to favor making abortion illegal in all circumstances.

But while some of the young moms find support in their communities, some don’t know where to go, and that’s painful to see. For instance, 16-year-old Lori Wickelhaus wanted to raise her son but found no support in her family or boyfriend. Reluctantly, she chose adoption, saying she felt trapped into the decision. Why did she not know that 20 minutes away, there’s a maternity home that takes young mothers in, empowering them with the resources they need to become parents?

Stories like Lori’s are a strong reminder that we need to continue getting the word out. Not just that abortion isn’t the answer. Not just that there are other options. But where to find support, so that those alternatives aren’t just ideas, but achievable options. Resources like the OptionLine call center, with counselors who can point women in the right direction via phone, e-mail, and even instant messenger, are crucial. If you encounter someone with a crisis pregnancy, please put them in touch with OptionLine.

With more teens choosing life, now is the time to back them up with a helping hand and let them know: they made the right choice. Get involved at a local life affirming organization. Maybe it’s volunteering at a maternity home, donating baby items to a crisis pregnancy center, or supporting an adoption agency. Whatever you feel led to do...please commit. These young mothers and babies need our love and support.

Do The Right Thing

The crisis of abortion coverage and abortion funding in the health care reform bill is expected to be voted on in the House THIS WEEK.

The urgency of the current situation demands that we speak out about the proposed health care bill -- which in its current form would gravely impact our pro-life mission.

Without question, this proposed legislation could undo all the years of work that have gone into the fight to defeat the abortion culture. The fate of millions of pre-born babies hangs in the balance.

In a brief summary, here are the biggest problems with the proposed bill:

--> For the first time in history, the bill would
create authority for the federal government to
MANDATE ABORTION COVERAGE

--> Individuals and families would be FORCED into
insurance plans with mandatory abortion coverage

--> American taxpayers would be forced to pay a new
"ABORTION PREMIUM FEE" to cover the costs of
abortions for other people

--> The bill would direct $11 BILLION in funding to
"community health centers" and deputizes them to
become new abortion facilities

--> Planned Parenthood and the rest of the abortion
industry would get a massive, GOVERNMENT-FUNDED BAILOUT
-- to the tune of billions of dollars

--> The bill WOULD NOT adequately protect the
consciences of medical providers who refuse to
participate in life-destroying practices

Here's the bottom line: if the Senate health care reform bill is passed by the House of Representatives,it will result in the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade -- and hundreds of thousands more children will die and women will be hurt.

I believe our prayers -- and efforts -- are vital to stopping this abortion mandate. Here are the three most important things you need to do RIGHT NOW:

1.) PRAY AND FAST: The vote in the House is now expected on Friday or Saturday. Between now and then, pray -- and fast, if you feel led -- like NEVER BEFORE. Pray for the president. Pray for the Members of Congress who will be voting this week. Saved Baby Waves (WATCH actual ultrasound video!)

Being involved in the 40 Days For Life Campaign brings daily hope and inspiration! If you don't already follow the 40 Days For Life Blog I suggest you start...the true stories of how lives are being changed because of valiant pro-life efforts is powerful!

Today's entry talks about how a an ultrasound coupon saves the life of a child and it's mother. Statistics show that 90% of mothers who see an ultrasound of their baby choose life. So offering "free ultrasound" coupons really are life savers! A woman can have the opportunity to see her baby before she makes a life changing and possibly life ending decision. This particular young teenager was with her mother when they had the ultrasound done and the baby actually waved to both of them. Naturally they began to cry when they realized the tiny life inside the mother who seemed to be acknowledging them from inside the womb. Powerful stuff! Here is the priceless ultrasound image of the baby waving to her mom and grandmother:

I am so thankful for the advanced technology and trained specialist who can provide this kind of factual, visual information to young women. Sometimes images speak louder than words...in this case, that proved to be true. That tiny hand waving said more than any words ever could. It spoke Life. I'm also thankful for the Love Warriors who are at the gates of these abortion centers as a last line of defense for these young women and their unborn children. They are truly making a difference and saving lives! Keep up the great efforts!

Teen Pregnancy & Promiscuity

Teen pregnancy and promiscuity in the United States -- what is society teaching our youth?

Many are saying that society, particularly Hollywood, is sending the wrong message to our youth. Sex seems to be everywhere. In movies, on t.v., in commercials and magazine ads, in music lyrics and music videos and the internet. You don't have to go far to be almost bombarded with sexual content. Society promotes sex and promiscuity and some are now concerned that the media is downplaying teen pregnancies. They're selling sex, but they're not selling the consequences of promiscuity and sex before marriage which can be misleading to young teens. More recently many magazines and t.v. shows have glamorized celebrity pregnancies but they again, don't show the full reality of it all. Most of these celebrities have nannies and assistants to help in raising their children, yet the media is portraying parenting as easy and almost as if a baby is the new season's handbag. So the question is: What is the impact of sex on TV on today's teens?

Another argued topic is the method of sex education. Some argue abstinence only education is not effective and others argue that promoting "safe sex" is a dangerous approach when you consider the consequences. Regardless of the approach you believe is most effective, the fact is that Abstinence is the only method that is 100% effective and safe.

Speak The Truth With Love

Life Inspired Love Organization was created in 2009 by myself, Leah Delcamp, as a passionate attempt to educate others about the issue of abortion and to help save lives of not just the unborn, but of women and families. Feeling led to share the truth with love I began this blog which I use as a tool to share facts, true stories and testimonies relating to life and abortion. I have since created a Facebook fan page (http:www.facebook.com/lifeinspiredlove) as another social network tool to reach the hearts and minds of men and women and hope to someday have my organization's website up and running in the near future.

I want to provide this world with hope for a future. Some might say I try a little to hard to save the world...but I'm just following my heart. The world needs to hear the truth spoken with love, not with judgment, not with anger, but with love. That is my heart's desire, and that is what I try to do.

I have learned a lot over the past year not only about the topic of abortion but about myself. I have found a strength deep within me that I never new existed. I have been faced with extreme animosity because of my decision to openly defend life, even by those who I considered to be close friends. But I am not doing this for popularity, for recognition and certainly not for profit. I am doing this because I believe that women deserve better than abortion, everyone deserves to know the truth, and the unborn deserve a chance to live. I do it because I genuinely love people and want to see everyone succeed. And above all, I do it for God. I am unashamedly a believer that Jesus took a stand for me and gave His life so that I might live. I want to live my life for Him by taking a stand for the lives He created and died for so that others might see Him through me and realize how valuable we all are no matter what stage of life we are in.

I will have my first opportunity to publicly speak to youth in the community on March 26th at an Indiana High School, coincidentally in my hometown where I grew up as a teenager. While I cannot openly talk about my faith or express my opinion about abortion specifically, I will have the opportunity to talk about my personal testimony and the importance of self-value and healthy relationships. I'll be sure to write a follow up entry on how that experience goes.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me in my efforts. Every kind word, every shared emotion, each effort on your part has been a huge blessing for me. Together, we can reshape our world with simple acts of love.

Planned Parenthood Covers Up 10th Case of Child Abuse

Yesterday, Live Action released the following undercover video showing Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin ignoring the sexual abuse of a 14-year-old minor by a 31-year-old partner:

This is the 10th case of child abuse that Planned Parenthood has failed to report and has tried to cover up which as you all should know, failing to report child abuse is against the law. So the question is: How many times must Planned Parenthood break the law before they are held criminally responsible, defunded, and shut down? This is obviously not an isolated incident. It has happened in several states at several different clinics...it is clearly a re-occurring problem. Planned Parenthood seems to think that they are above the law and if they are not strongly prosecuted for their negligence and blatant disregard for the law and the safety and well-being of young women then they have proven they will continue to break the law and put more young women at risk.

Planned Parenthood responded by claiming they would have reported the sexual abuse but the young girl (Live Action undercover investigator) did not give them her name or IDs so they couldn't report to the police. This is a FALSE statement by Planned Parenthood. And don't worry, Live Action has called them out on their lie with evidence to back them. Watch this video that debunks Planned Parenthood's claim.

They thought they could make this statement to local news reporters and be "off the hook" but they highly underestimated the intelligence and thoroughness of the Live Action investigators.

Write to or call your elected officials and demand they open a further investigation of Planned Parenthood and their child sexual abuse cover ups. Bring an end to the injustice.

Forced or Coerced Abortions

Coercion comes in many forms, often from all sides, whether from one's support network, deceptive experts or people in positions of authority, influence or power. Lost in the politics and rhetoric is the surprising, seldom-reported evidence that MOST, not some, abortions are unwanted or coerced. Many are deceptively informed or even forced. Coercion can take many forms, including undisclosed, misleading or false information about fetal development and alternatives. Coercion can escalate to violence. Homicide is the #1 killer of pregnant women.

67% had NO counseling beforehand,

79% were not told of available alternatives

84% were not given enough information to make an informed choice.

• 45% of men interviewed at abortion clinics recalled urging abortion, including 37% of married men.

This collective portrait of coercion, discrimination, professional negligence, deception, or force, is not a picture of "choice" in the authentic sense of the word.

One step taken to help prevent forced abortion is The Prevention of Coerced and Unsafe Abortions Act which simply defines that it is an act of medical negligence not to make at least a good faith effort to screen for evidence of coercion. It further provides that only the woman can hold the abortion provider accountable for any failure to do proper screening. This act does not interfere with the private decision of a woman and her doctor. But it does allow women to better hold doctors accountable for providing adequate screening and counseling. Many abortion doctors and employees give women false or deceptive information about abortions and fetal development. What stood out to me most in this video was when she describes the necessary process of sifting through the blood and tissue to make sure all of the body parts were accounted for after an abortion. Anyone who hears this and now has a brief education of how the abortion procedure works should understand that they are not removing tissue, they are not removing cells....they are removing BODY PARTS....tiny arms, feet and bodies that belong to innocent unborn babies. One of the pro-life sidewalk counselors told her that if she was at this facility for routine healthcare, there were other places she could go — places that did not do abortions.

The young woman was stunned. “I had no idea my OB/GYN did abortions,” she said. “I definitely do not want to come back!”

This is one of the reasons pro-life sidewalk counselors are important. Many people don’t realize abortions are being done in their own cities. Many women don’t realize abortions are being done by their own doctors. When they find out, many have exactly the same response as this woman in Austin.

Today I want to thank my parents for choosing Life. I was born 27 years ago on this day. Now, 27 years later I can look back on those years and feel blessed, not simply because of all of the wonderful people in my life and all of the opportunities I've been given, but also because my Mom made a choice that allowed me to live a life full of blessings. Without that conscious decision, I would not have had the opportunity to love and be loved in return. I am thankful always, but today especially for being able to love my parents, love my brother, love his wife and my two gorgeous and fun nephews, and for the chance to marry and love my masterpiece of a husband and my new extended family, as well as enjoy so many wonderful moments with so many amazing friends. But had my Mom exercised her "right to choose" and chosen to end my life before it even really began, I would not be here, 27 years later being thankful for the life I have. Thank you Mom and Dad, for choosing Life! I love you to the moon and back!

Blocking For Tebow

There has been a lot of controversy swirling around the Tim Tebow ad that is scheduled to air during the superbowl. The ad has not yet been released for public viewing and will not be available to the public until it's scheduled airing during the superbowl. It is said to be a 30 second clip that's tagline is "Celebrate Life, Celebrate Family" and will include a brief summary of Tim & Pam's story and how she was encouraged to abort, but went against medical advice and kept her child who is now a huge football star. There is an uproar coming from the pro-abortion lobbyist. Feminist, Gloria Allred has even gone as far as to say that the story of Tebow's birth is untrue others simply object because of their own personal viewpoint.

I believe that the real reason behind the controversy is not the message, but where the message is coming from. Focus on the Family, the organization funding the Tebow ad is a known christian organization. They are receiving huge criticism for their decision to promote this ad for the superbowl. But I think that if any other organization would have been the proponent behind it, we would not be hearing so much chatter about it. If Planned Parenthood themselves were the ones putting out this very ad or one identical we would say "they are just supporting one woman's choice" But when Focus on the Family defends the ad by saying "they are just supporting one woman's choice" people seem to discredit this choice and go even further by claiming it to be an "anti-choice" ad. It is clear now that choosing life is not considered a true choice in "pro-choice" opinion. If it was, they would be embracing this woman's choice to keep her baby, a mother who simply wants to tell the world how happy she is with the choice she made. I see nothing wrong with a mother being proud of her child and a child being proud of his mother. I also don't think this ad will be simply about life. Because of Tebow's success as a football player I think this ad will be about Life, Liberty and The Pursuit Of Happiness and I don't know what could be more American than that!

People have argued that who will this ad really impact? Claiming that women primarily do not watch football and those who do, how many will be pregnant and struggling with the decision? My response to that is this....if ONE woman chooses life because of the ad, that is two lives saved. The mother is saved from a lifetime of pain and regret and the child is saved from abortion. So if even one mother is impacted then that is a huge victory for Life. Each life is valuable, and even just one is worth saving! There is no price on life so those who argue that they spent too much money for this ad and could have used the money elsewhere....I want to ask "what is the cost of saving a life?" To me...life is PRICELESS. And I think any effort to save lives is admirable. How can we predict that this ad may not impact thousands of women and men? I think we should air it and allow people to make their own conclusions afterwards instead of censoring something that we all know will not contain nudity, adult language or adult content...there will be enough of those commercials during the superbowl as it is. I don't hear anyone trying to censor the many other ads that promote half naked women as sexual objects and other organizations' subliminal messages. We're ok with ads that devalue women but we're not ok with an ad that is pro-woman, pro-life, pro-family and pro-values? We need to re-evaluate ourselves as a society if this is true. I guess the real question to ask is "what harm will come from airing this ad?" I see no harm in it and until I hear a substantial reason for why it should not be aired I will support it.

The superbowl is February 7, 2010 at 6:00pm EST. I hope that many of you are not only tuned in to support football and your favorite team, but you're also tuned in to support Life.

President Obama recognized, in last night’s speech, that “the only reason we are here is because generations of Americans were unafraid to do what was hard.” But may we also add, to do what was right. We’re here because our mothers said “yes” to life. Because their government didn’t push them toward the hands of abortionists.

"Here’s what I ask of Congress, though: Do not walk away from reform. Not now. Not when we are so close. Let us find a way to come together and finish the job for the American people," Obama said. But he appeared to ignore the polling data that consistently shows the American people not only oppose the health care bill but oppose government funding of abortions in it. Simply renaming health care reform 'health insurance reform' will not solve Obama's political puzzle, or the underlying problems of the legislation. But this is typical of the president's approach to political obstacles -- change the language, not the substance, and people will drop their objections.

Mr. Obama said those in public office shouldn’t “avoid telling hard truths.” Most of us listening hold no office, but we can tell you this: No economic stimulus, no energy initiative or healthcare overhaul can ever replace the millions of lives this administration is seeking to kill.

President Obama also said, “…I promised I wouldn’t just do what was popular. I would do what was necessary.” So when most Americans are pro-life and some 65 percent of us want to reduce abortions, not encourage, fund and force them then we have to ask: how could that be necessary, Mr. President? We already know it sure isn’t popular.

When more than 300,000 people march in Washington, D.C., and the mainstream press is almost totally silent, bias is no longer an accusation but a fact. There was virtually no mainstream media coverage of the 2010 Walk For Life that took place to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade where abortion was legalized. It beckons the question: "Why so silent?"

Live Action also commented on this issue saying: "This is no accidental oversight, but a pointed refusal to report the work we do and the witness we present for life… unless, of course, it is the violent action of a lunatic claiming he is “pro-life,” in which case it will be on the front page. This is done so that many Americans can go on thinking we are a small fringe group of beady-eyed zealots instead of a large, thriving, growing community of millions of intelligent people of all ages and faiths."

It’s obvious that the mainstream media refuses to report with any integrity on what we do so here is how we need to counteract this:

First, we spread the word ourselves. Blogs like this one, and other social networking sites (twitter, facebook, myspace etc.), are an excellent way to spread the word about Life what’s really happening.

Second, we let the media know that we’re aware of their bias and are committed to exposing it. Pro-life groups and individuals can send press releases to newspapers, radio and TV stations, and individual journalists, urging them to be the one to tell the real story.

Third, we continue to support organizations that are committed to the truth and protecting human life at all stages.

Those of us who remain active for pro-life do so with hope that the value of human life will one day be globally recognized and protected. As a pleasant side effect, perhaps those who are supposed to be impartial are forced to look back in shame on their blatant bias, so that this movement eventually saves not only the unborn and their families, but the integrity of the media as well.

There's an interesting development with pro-life sidewalk counselors who talk to women going into abortion mills and offer life-affirming alternatives to abortion. Often times their efforts are impeded by escorts or more accurately termed: "deathscorts" These are pro-abortion individuals who surround women arriving at the abortion mill so that pro-life sidewalk counselors can’t let them know they have alternatives to abortion. The deathscorts wear bright orange vests to identify themselves. Well, at an abortion mill in Louisville, Kentucky, pro-life sidewalk counselors are wearing the same color vests. But they’re clearly marked as “Life Escort.” This may give them a precious few seconds to let the woman know there are other choices available besides abortion. In other words, they’re being truly pro-choice.

I have been told I am "anti-choice" by so many who consider themselves "pro-choice". To say that I am anti-choice is not only ambiguous, it's dishonest. My opposition to human abortion is not an opposition to choices, but an opposition to killing human life.

By definition, someone who is “anti-choice” would be opposed to ALL choices whether they be about feticide, stealing, or something as inconsequential as listening to public radio. If one opposes a man hitting his wife, is that person "anti-choice"? Of course not. It is an an opposition to violence, not an opposition to choices. I have heard time and time again the phrase "you want to take away women's choices". FALSE. I want to replace the choice of abortion with life-affirming choices. I'm not trying to take away choice, I'm trying to give hope to women and their unborn children not try to take anything away from them.

Even the term “pro-choice” is misleading. It isn’t that those who are “pro-choice” support all choices (surely they don’t support domestic violence); it is that they support the choice to abort a living human being. Which is why I believe that pro-abortion is more accurate because when you say "I support a woman's choice to have an abortion", you're really just adding a few extra words into the sentence "I support abortion". Opposing that choice isn’t anti-choice; it is rather anti-abortion or pro-human life rights. Now that is precise, logical, and scientifically accurate.

The core issue is not about choice any more than murder, slavery, and stealing are about choice. It is about what we do with living unborn human babies biologically developing inside and dependent on another human. Significant questions that need to be asked and answered are: Do these babies have rights and if so, what are they? Does the mother have rights and what are they? What do we do when these rights conflict? Do some rights take precedent over others?

My belief is that the right to life should supersede all other rights because without life no other rights would matter or exist. I believe that ALL human life is inherently valuable. That is why I am pro-life.

Walk For Life West Coast

Walk For Life West Coast was held yesterday in San Fransico, CA. More than 30,000 pro-life advocates participated in the Walk For Life rally to show their support for Life. This first video is footage of the pro-life community peacefully walking, some with signs, but many just quietly walking in a public act against abortion. The second video is of the small pro-abortion group shouting and chanting, some even banging on instruments. Basically, just causing commotion and a lot of noise. What I found interesting was that the pro-lifers didn't have to shout or try to drown out the pro-aborts. Their actions spoke louder than words. The more than 30,000 men, women and children peacefully marched as the opponents seemed to desperately shout in a failed attempt to drown out the message from the day. Which is that when we come together peacefully in great numbers our actions will speak louder than words. Our message is love. We are not violent, loud, overbearing people. We are people who love life and are working to promote a culture of life and protect human beings at all stages. What a great turn out! Thank you to all who were there in body and spirit! Thank you for taking a public stand for Life.

Monday, January 18th, 2010 saw history remembered and also history in the making. Martin Luther King Day is a federal holiday held on the third Monday of January every year. It celebrates the life and achievements of Martin Luther King Jr. who was best known for his campaigns to end segregation and speak out against injustice. This year, on this commemorative day, another group of people were speaking out against injustice. This campaign was not just about race, though it is very much a large part of the issue. This campaign was about life. Planned Parenthood is building what will be the largest abortion facility in the U.S. right in the center of 4 minority neighborhoods in Houston Texas. Thousands of pro-life advocates were present outside this so called "super-center" to show Texas and the rest of the nation that they do not support this kind of slaughtering, abuse towards women and racial targeting in their backyards. To my fellow Lifers who were there in body and those who were there in spirit...thank you for standing up for what is right, for speaking out against injustice and for working to protect the innocent! I have recently read quite a bit about Amendment 48 that Colorado For Equal Rights has succeeded in adding to the ballot but has not yet had success in passing as law. There is much debate surrounding the issue of "personhood". Advocates for life want to establish that from the moment of conception a new human being is created with it's own unique DNA and that each person should be protected under law. Science confirms that this is true and yet abortion is still legal and thousands of babies die everyday. Why is that? Because while pro-aborts will agree that DNA is present at the moment of fertilization they still deny the unborn human rights on the grounds that the unborn is somehow not a person. Establishing personhood is crucial for the pro-life movement. Without it, our opponents do not see the value of each individual human life regardless of age, sex, or circumstance and thousands of unborn continue to die DAILY. If we do not establish value for human life at it's beginning then how do we expect life not to be devalued throughout every stage in our society?

On October 11, 1972 the infamous case of Roe V. Wade was brought before the U.S. Supreme Court and opened the gateway to legalized abortions. An interesting series of statements made that day are worthy of quoting in defense of the unborn. Here is actual audio recordings from the Roe V. Wade case that proves why substantiating personhood would be detrimental to the pro-abortion perspective and why we need to establish PERSONHOOD NOW!

The pro-aborts debate on this issue of personhood and their Anti-Amendment 48 campaign is nothing more than scare tactics. They know that if we embrace the idea of personhood and protecting ALL human beings at every stage of life then abortion WILL again become illegal and they think in dollar signs....the dollar signs will diminish if abortion is no longer a profitable industry and that is what they care about most - more than protection of life even. So they have come up with various lies to scare people out of the whole idea of Amendment 48 which simply works to establish dignity and rights to even the weakest of our kind. A few of these bogus scare tactics I've heard are:

women could be criminally charged for miscarriages
women could be criminally charged for neglecting their own health during pregnancy
it will disrupt access to healthcare, more specifically access to birth control

All of which are FALSE! Take the first argument about miscarriages for example: Basic criminal law principles state that there needs to be a guilty act that accompanies a guilty intent. Neither is present here. The woman does not intentionally will her body to miscarriage and therefore she could not be held legally responsible.

In regards to the second argument, the example given was that a women could be criminally charged for smoking during pregnancy or an even more absurd argument that a woman could be charged for driving a car while pregnant because it is even more dangerous than smoking and could be viewed as negligence. (I could not make this up...these are actual arguments from the opponents) It is not illegal for a parent to smoke around their child outside the womb so why would it be illegal for them to smoke while pregnant? With this ill-logic, then any mother who drives with their child in a car seat in the back of their van is a criminal? NO! That's absurd! These are poor attempts to scare the gullible out of doing the right thing!

The last argument about disrupt to healthcare is probably what throws most people off. Healthcare is a huge debate these days and you add that argument to the mix and people start second guessing. Truth is, the only "healthcare" that would be in jeopardy is the access to elective abortions. Which yes, is EXACTLY what the Amendment 48 is working to do. That's what pro-aborts are REALLY scared of and they should be. If Amendment 48 is put in place, then abortions will drastically decrease because each state will be able to determine when life begins and protect the unborn under state law. Which is why it needs the support of every pro-life American!

2009 Year Review - Thank You!

Planned Parenthood closed a total of 38 clinics in 2009, let's work on doubling that number in 2010!

A revocation of government funding, thanks in part to government budget cuts, is responsible for closing some centers. Planned Parenthood relies heavily on taxpayer funding of its operations. Taxpayer funding provides 33.7 percent of its total income. The year 2009 saw some significant strides in cutting state funding to Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood in Indiana, for example, reported that most of the six clinics it closed there were closed because of the loss of funds from the state.

I also attribute this small victory over abortion to the fact that more pro-life advocates appeared outside abortion centers this past year -- helping women find positive alternatives. Sidewalk counselors are a vital part of the pro-life movement. Not only do they help pregnant women make positive choices and provide life resources but they simply show compassion and respect for life in such a way that literally save lives. Not just the lives of the unborn, but of women who otherwise would be bound to a lifetime of regret and hurt. In 2009, sidewalk counselors that were part of the 40 Days For Life Campaign were there with loving open arms when former Planned Parenthood director, Abby Johnson, needed support in her decision to quit the business after seeing a baby die right before her eyes during an ultrasound guided abortion. So you see, those Love Warriors who are out there on the frontline battling for Life in front of these abortion clinics are so valuable and need our prayers and support everyday!

In the upcoming years ahead we need to be more vocal, more accessible and more in the public eye if we're going to see a real change. The more people who know the truth, the less innocent lives will be taken and the less women will be hurt! I encourage everyone to get out there and make a difference somehow. Whether it be volunteering your time or resources to crisis pregnancy centers or sharing facts and hope to others through conversation or on your own social outlets like facebook, twitter, myspace or blogs. And of course voting for leaders and laws that support Life! If we as a nation unite on this issue we WILL see an end to abortion in our lifetime! I believe we can.

Hope For A Future

Read this CNN Story of an Iowa mother who murdered her child with the defense that "she believed she was trying to save her sons from a life of suffering" when she cut their throats and her own. Her insanity plea was rejected, she was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

The reason I have chosen to blog about this story is because I have heard that defense or more accurately - EXCUSE - that abortion is saving the child from a lifetime of suffering or a life without a "proper" upbringing. I have even heard those who are pro-abortion say "if the child is going to grow up in a bad environment or have a bad home life then we should put it out of its misery". This is an accepted theory in the pro-abortion community so my question is, If this defense doesn't hold up in court then why is it legal to kill an unborn child using the same flawed logic? If we wouldn't kill a child when it is born because of their "lack of future" then why on earth would we kill a child in the womb for the very same reason?

There are so many holes in the pro-abortion logic. All of which are filled with excuses. I have yet to hear a strong defense for abortion that has not been broken down to be nothing more than an excuse. Truth is...abortion's design and purpose is to not only eliminate the child, but eliminate what is viewed as a challenge too difficult to overcome. Every excuse I have heard from women is as a result of one reason and one reason only... the woman doesn't want to face responsibility or difficulty and a child simply gets in the way of what they want for their own life. No matter what the excuse "I can't take care of this baby" "I don't want this baby" "I can't give this baby a future" ....ALL point to one conclusion that the woman has come to in her mind "This is too hard, I can't deal with this" Because if this were not true and women really were thinking beyond themselves and thought about what was best for both she and the baby, not just what was best for her, then I believe women would approach the situation MUCH differently...they approach the situation as a crisis and instead of eliminating the crisis they choose to eliminate the child.
A much healthier and rewarding approach would be: "It's going to be hard but I can find a way to take care of this baby" "I didn't plan this baby, but I can give this baby to a family who does want a child and can give it a future".

I don't understand why women don't see adoption as an option more. With adoption the child has a chance to live a life with a family who will love them and take care of them. Abortion is permanent, final, there are no possibilities or hope for the child through abortion. It's as permanent a decision as it would be if you chose life. Once that life has been taken away, it is gone. But adoption gives that child a chance, no matter how small or great that chance may be, it is a chance to live out their purpose...hope for a future. And with hope...anything is possible.

I think the root of the problem here is that women feel hopeless and the hopelessness is what drives them to have an abortion. If a woman has an abortion because she feels she has no other options then it is not a choice, it is a last resort and we, as a society, have greatly failed her. I believe in my heart that more women would choose life if we gave them the hope they need. If we gave them the necessary resources they need to succeed as a mother and a woman. We as a society need to stop teaching that having a child is a burden or a task too great for the average woman to handle. Yes, it is a big job and yes it will have it's difficult moments but ask any mother you meet and they will tell you that the good heavily outweigh the bad! 97% of women who have chosen abortion regret that decision and would not recommend abortion to others. Out of the mothers who chose life for their babies....100% are satisfied with their choice. The numbers don't lie. So stop believing the lies that you can't or shouldn't and start believing you CAN and you WILL succeed if you simply Choose Life. You are not alone.

Stop Making Excuses and Start Respecting Life!

QUICK FACT: It is a felony to "disturb" a bald eagle egg but DESTROYING a human embryo is not only legal but it is encouraged. Bald eagles and even their eggs are protected under a law entitled the Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle Protection Act. How is it that we value other species above our own? It's senseless to me and so frustratingly disappointing. We are supposed to be the most advanced and intelligent species on the planet but we can't seem to understand that we are killing off our future generations. 1/3 of our youth never made it out of the womb. All of whom have died in the name of "choice".

I have heard every pro-abortion argument out there and I have not heard one single argument in support of abortion that was not some sort of excuse. And in my experience if you have to make an excuse for something...it probably isn't something you should be doing. Stop making excuses and start respecting life! I truly believe that the heart of the issue is a gross lack of respect for life. If we don't value life at it's beginning and it's most vulnerable then how can we expect there to be respect for life in later stages? Rape, murder, abuse all of these things are a direct result of a disrespect for another human being's life. But if we're not teaching to respect life at it's core then why are we then appalled by the disrespect for it in those situations? We have not set a standard for life...and we NEED to. ALL LIFE IS VALUABLE and should be respected and defended. I think we would see a huge decrease in those kinds of harmful crimes against humanity if we protect life from the very start of its existence...which is conception. Scientists agree that life begins at conception and we have overwhelming evidence for this yet we still choose to believe what we want so that we can do whatever want.

Truth is....elective abortions were created so that women could elude responsibility. With our choices come responsibility and if we make such choices then we must be prepared to own up to those responsibilities...not make excuses for them and run from those responsibilities.

One Woman's Choice, Another Woman's Injustice

The Senate voted 54-45 to defeat the Nelson amendment that would have removed the massive abortion funding from the Senate government-run health care bill. With the defeat, pro-life advocates will unite behind a concerted effort to defeat the entire health care bill.

The legislation currently allows abortion funding under both the public option and the affordability credits to purchase health care insurance. If this plan goes through it will be the largest expansion of abortion on demand since Roe v. Wade and so many more women and children will be harmed by this monstrous atrocity. Our country needs our prayers. We simply cannot allow this kind of injustice to continue to happen across our nation. It is mind-numbing that we could be FORCED to have our hard earned money go towards something we are morally and religiously against!

Abortion does not cure any diseases or save lives for that matter...it in fact TAKES LIVES and for it to be considered health care then we should also include things like breast implants or liposuction because those too are "medical procedures" that do not cure disease or save lives. Should we also be forced to pay for someone else's boob job? They are better termed as "vanity procedures". Vanity is nothing more than excessive pride and abortion on demand is often nothing more than that...a selfish pride that allows you to choose yourself over everyone else regardless of the harm it may cause. We as a nation have failed to hold ourselves accountable for our behaviors, our lifestyles and our choices. With choice comes responsibility and accountability but abortion is a scapegoat for those things. We can still indulge in a reckless lifestyle because we have the "option" of eliminating the responsibilities and consequences of our careless choices. Abortion is a human devised way of escaping responsibility. Instead of making good choices to begin with we allow ourselves to make the poor ones with the safety net of just "taking care of it" later. "Taking care of it" is not an appropriate term for what truly occurs in that situation...it is the lack of care that enables a decision like that to be made.

The saddest part is that the abortion industry and their supporters have made this idea sound so good and so harmless and so empowering that there are those who truly believe it to be so. Young women believe the lies and then suffer from post abortion heartache for years often times for the rest of their lives. That is heartbreaking to me. Yet I do believe that there are many women who sincerely do not know the severity, the consequences and reality of abortion because they have never been told the truth. That is why I have chosen to speak louder and to do my best to make sure the truth is spread. Those women deserve to know the truth. They deserve better than abortion and so do their unborn children.

I pray that this bill does not go through for the sake of our future generations. May God have mercy on us if it does, in fact, go through.

NARAL is not the only one producing false ads about the issue of abortion in healthcare. Their fellow abortion supporters at Planned Parenthood have made a public ad of their own that makes a series of false claims. Here is that ad with all of its misleading information....

If they are lying about something that has evidence and facts that can be proven against them then what is stopping them from lying about other abortion related issues? When you put a face and a name to each of those numbers it should make your heart break because these are not just numbers, they are human beings. Little babies who are being slaughtered each day in our country for nothing more than the sake of "choice".

Women have clung to the idea that abortion is "empowering" but shouldn't it be more empowering to give life rather than to take life away? There are some women who can never have children for various reasons, men cannot have them at all, so shouldn't birth be viewed as a privilege, better yet, a gift? We have taken such an ungrateful attitude toward pregnancy and birth...it is miraculous and yes, should be empowering, yet thousands of women everyday choose to reject that power, that gift and disrespect life itself by choosing to abort. If we could look beyond ourselves we would see that abortion is a very selfish act and that giving life to a baby is the closest thing to a superhero power we have. Let's choose to be superheroes! Aren't they the ones that we admire, the ones who are dedicated to saving lives? Just a thought.

If you have chosen abortion I am not saying you are a villain. I understand there are circumstances surrounding your decision that drove you to make that choice and I do not begin to judge you for that. Regardless of our past decisions God's mercy is made new to us everyday. Lying is as equal to murder in God's eyes...therefor we are all guilty of some sort of wrongdoing...there is no better or worse to God which means I am no better than you and you are no better than me...we are equal in the eyes of God. He loves us both equally as much. He extends His forgiveness and mercy on all of us regardless of our shortcomings and despite the mistakes we will make even in the future. In knowing that, we have a hope and a future through Christ. With his forgiveness and love we can begin living the life He intended for us, a life that will honour Him in all that we say and do. He selflessly gave His life so that we may live, we should follow in his footsteps and selflessly live our lives for Him. Choosing life is a step in that direction.

Respecting Sex

This is the "advice" Planned Parenthood is teaching young adults?! Encouraging promiscuity that leads to a higher risk of pregnancy and STDs, claiming that sexual diseases are common and giving a false idea that STDs are often treatable and appear less harmful than they truly are, while advocating that sex is no big deal.

What about teaching respect and self-control in relationships and accurately addressing the risks and consequences related to sexual activity? Shouldn't we be advocating healthy lifestyles, monogamy and providing factual information to young adults?

The first point I would like to make in response to this video is that we should NEVER encourage promiscuity or "one night stands". Whether you support abstinence or "safe sex" you should agree that promoting careless choices regarding sex and multiple partners puts young adults at a much higher risk for STDs and pregnancy. If we truly cared about these young people we would not want to put them in harms way and by interpreting sex to have no boundaries is definitely creating a segway for potential harm.

Second, as a self-proclaimed "trained obstetrician gynecologist" this woman should be giving medically ACCURATE information. Her statement that "everyone gets HPV" is FALSE! Maybe in her circle of promiscuous and/or infected counterparts this is true. But making a statement that claims that this STD is common enough to infect all of us and with a tone that indicates her apathy towards the disease is frightening. If her goal was to educate, she has greatly failed and in fact has done quite the opposite with her statements. The young people listening to this woman now have much higher health risks due to the fact that they were greatly misinformed. They not only have been given false information, but life-threatening false information. Another disturbing factor is that this woman is the vice president of medical affairs for planned parenthood....she is supposedly one of the top educated members. That's scary.

Lastly, the closing statement of this video is tragic. This is her "best advice"?? To tell young people "do whatever you want and deal with the consequences later". What kind of advice is that? Wouldn't it be better to help them to make healthy choices to start with so that they don't have to deal with difficult and life altering consequences later?

For any young adults reading this, please understand that all of your choices affect your future. The choices you make today will impact the rest of your life. Those of us who promote abstinence, monogamy and respect for yourself and for relationships are not here to discourage you from living a full and happy life, we are speaking from experience and WANT you to have a fulfilling life. We know that the kind of successful life that one day will involve sex will be healthier and happier because you chose respect and self control over temporary pleasures and empty purpose. People like those in support of Planned Parenthood and their ideals fail to mention that sex is not just a physical action, but it is a priceless privilege with a purpose much great then sexual gratification. We have been given this personal form of physical love designed to show that one special person God has gifted to us that they are special and loved above all others in our hearts. If we spread our love around then that gift loses it's value and meaning. Sex is something to be respected and treasured and not meant for selfish intentions or a lack in depth and meaning. When you experience sex the way it was intended for us, which is within marriage, you will understand a higher level of respect and love and the results of your decision will be more than gratifying!

Pro-choice Hypocrisy

Baltimore passed a law that requires life-affirming pregnancy centers to post disclaimers noting that they do not provide abortion services with the argument that they want women to be "fully informed" of all their choices. You can read the full article here: News Busters

If they were really concerned about women making informed choices then they would require abortion mills to post disclaimers that they, in fact, provide abortion services. Their argument is that there is a threat to abortion facilities and workers by revealing this information. Have we forgotten that pro-life advocates have also died for the sake of the cause? There is a skewed view here. I do not support the individuals who threaten and harm abortion workers or who harass people who go to these clinics for abortions. That is an extreme version and view of the pro-life movement and the pro-life people. The majority of us are peaceful people with a burden on our hearts to save lives. And equally, I realize that not every pro-abortion advocate is a crazy, threat-spewing killer. The fact is that there are young women entering these facilities who are scared, hopeless and the majority are ignorant to the facts surrounding these issues.

I wholeheartedly believe in giving women all of their options so that they can make an informed decision. Which I believe most, if not all, life-affirming resources do. Sure, they do not actually perform abortions or distribute birth control...but I know for a fact that they explain the abortion procedure and the risks(with fact, not scare tactics) and also tell the abortion-minded woman that they do not offer abortions or contraceptives and do not give referrals to clinics who do offer those services. Why? Because why would we tell them about a service we do not advocate for, only to lead them to the very doors where those services are offered? That would be like saying "We're against prostitution, but here is a list of local brothels". We would be an accomplice in their abortion decision and that alone violates our conscience. Many ask "but why not offer contraceptives"? My answer is this...there is no contraceptive that is 100% safe and accurate, except abstinence. And by offering alternatives like birth control and condoms, you are telling that young person that their choice will result in merely physical consequences which just is not true. Birth control and condoms are false hope and our foundation is built on true hope. Hope for a future. By offering contraceptives you are telling that young person that it is OK to be promiscuous, that it is OK to put yourself at higher risk for pregnancy and STDs and that sex is purely a physical action. I think that if we really have the best intentions for these young people we would start at the heart, and teach them that sex is a valuable and personal possession that requires respect and is a meaningful expression of affection that is meant to be reserved for marriage. When you instill in them a sense of respect for themselves and in their relationships, it will be reflected in their everyday choices.

I believe pregnancy resource centers DO give women all the information they need in making life changing decisions...the other side's view just doesn't like the information we give because it's the truth and much of it exposes the very lies they are telling women. What it all comes down to after reading this article about this new law is that they are so quick to fight for choices and laws that support their ideals, but are not willing to have those same laws be enforced on them. That is what we call hypocrisy.

It Starts With One

I encourage you to watch this video of a Vietnamese man who has dedicated his life and his home as a refuge for over 50 abandoned babies who otherwise would have been aborted.

I admire his compassion and his faith. He took in these children who were inevitably sentenced to death by abortion and gave them a chance at life and also works to provide for them not only food and shelter but raises them with love, to be good people for society. What a blessing he is to those children.

Now, I'm not saying we should all open up our homes and start a day care for all the babies who are at risk of being aborted by their mothers, but there are things we can do and ways we can help these women and children. Life affirming pregnancy centers have laid such great groundwork in this area and always need the help of volunteers in various areas of the pro-life work. I encourage you to contact your local pregnancy center and see what you can do to help create a positive future for these women and children who otherwise have little or no hope and/or resources. There are several national and international organizations you can get involved with too and those links are located on the right side bar of this blog.

This is a story of one man making a difference in the lives of many. We all can make a positive impact too. It starts with one....

Abortion takes away a lifetime of choices....

The largest argument in defense of abortion is that "it is a woman's choice". My response to this argument is that many women don't even know what that choice is. They don't know what abortion is and what it does not only to the unborn child, but to themselves. They don't understand the risks involved and the lifelong consequences of exercising their "choice".

By giving the woman a choice to take the life of her child we are taking away the rights of that child and not giving them a chance to live and to make a lifetime of choices that could positively impact all of us. Any of the children who have been aborted could have held the cure to cancer or have found the answer to other global issues. But all that potential is gone. Before we make any decision in our lives we need to think about the possibility that our actions not only effect us but they can impact everyone around us. So often people argue that a woman's choice is hers alone and doesn't effect anyone but herself. But we all know that is false. The baby is directly effected, families are indirectly effected and we as a nation are effected. The potential life changing impacts that child may have bestowed upon us is just one of the many examples of how abortion effects us all. And I truly believe that a lack of respect for life on this level is a leading reason for the lack of respect as a whole in our society. If we can't respect life at it's core, at it's beginning, then how can we expect respect for life in later stages. Rape, murder, sexual abuse, etc. are all examples of a lack of respect for human life. We haven't established that respect for life at it's start (in the womb) and that lack of respect is seen throughout society through various crimes like these. So you see, again, how abortion truly does effect us all.

How can one person's right to choose take away another person's right to live? Shouldn't the right to life supersede all other rights? Without life no other rights would matter or exist. So how does a woman's right to choose, override a child's right to live?

Former Planned Parenthood Director, Abby Johnson, left the organization after witnessing a 13 week old baby fighting for its life during an ultrasound guided abortion. This is a video of an interview Abby did on a popular Fox News show where she describes her experience and explains why she is now Pro-Life.

Pray that other abortion providers have the same change of heart that this woman had! If there is no one left willing to perform abortions there will be no more abortions being done and the killing of innocent unborn babies will end, the suffering from so many women who's lives are effected by abortion will diminish. Pray that this hope for a world without abortion becomes the reality. If everyone knew, truly knew what abortion really was and what it stood for and the effects and consequences I believe we would see an end to it. We have to help others know and understand. We need to educate our world and help in the effort to end such a devastating act that destroys so many lives. We are all called to help in different ways. Celebrate Life!

Last night the U.S. House of Representatives approved the Stupak-Pitts Amendment to H.R. 3962, by a vote of 240 to 194, with 64 Democratic members voting in favor of the amendment to ban federal funding of abortion in the health care bill.

This is a great victory for the pro-life movement and for all who so diligently contacted their Representatives leading up to the vote. With the adoption of the Stupak-Pitts Amendment, the House of Representatives made a principled and sound decision to continue our nation’s longstanding policy of protecting taxpayers’ conscience in the area of abortion funding.

In the coming weeks, we will remain vigilant and shift our efforts to the Senate to ensure that these same pro-life protections are included in the Senate bill. We fully expect that pro-abortion leaders will still try to find ways to sneak abortion funding into health care.

For now though, let's celebrate this great victory for unborn children and women!! Thank you for all of your efforts in defense of Life. Together we can save countless unborn lives as well as women and families from abortion!

All have since converted and now have a pro-life perspective because of their experiences. It is strong testimonies by people like these that truly expose the chilling reality of abortion and what it does to not only children, but to women and men. With all of the damaging evidence against abortion it leaves me to ask the question "How is abortion still so prevalent?" The only answer I can come up with for that question is that there are still so many people who do not know the truth. They are still being spoon fed lies. For this very reason I feel it is the responsibility and duty of those of us who know the truth to share it, to speak it, to spread it to those who may not know. The more who know the truth, the less pain and suffering there will be in the world because there will be fewer abortions...people will know better.

I encourage everyone to do your own researching, and do your own part in sharing the truth. Our nation needs us so badly. Shine a light on the darkness that is abortion. You could directly or indirectly be a part of saving lives! For those who are already involved in what I like to call the "Pro-Hope" movement...thank you and God bless you! Some feel that the graphic images of abortion and aborted babies is "vile", "disgusting" and "too much to handle" and I will agree with them so I will not show any of those images here. I do believe that there are some of us who NEED to see those images before we truly come to grips with what abortion is. But not all of us are ready. I was one of those people who needed to see the raw reality...it was only then did I truly understand and realize the truth that abortion savagely, callously and inhumanely kills a human life. Until I saw the truth exposed in those raw images I just thought "Abortion is bad." now I know, abortion is murder. Until you feel the shock of that reality, you will not feel the heartache for the unborn and for the post-abortive women, you will not have the passion to protect life at all stages and you will not understand the violation that occurs from the perilous act of abortion. If you truly thought about and accepted the fact that abortion is an irreversible act of killing then you, like me, could not support it or endorse it. There is no excuse or "right" that should outweigh the value of a human life. Not money, not status, not circumstance...nothing we tell ourselves can justify or reason sentencing innocent unborn children to death and in turn sentencing a woman to a lifetime of pain and regret. Surely we can all come to the conclusion that there are better, healthier, safer, and more noble solutions than abortion.

A post-abortive woman once told me that "Those graphic images may make people turn away their heads in order to not have to see the gruesome reality and in turn, turn their heads and hearts away from the truth you have to speak, if they turn away from the truth then they will never understand why abortion is wrong. I think it is a much more powerful statement and will result in more positive responses if you show pictures and videos of life inside the womb...the miracle of life...a baby dancing in her mother's safe sanctuary."

I, too, agree with her. In many cases an image of an ultrasound, sonogram or picture of a baby in the womb is sometimes all a person needs to see in order to choose life. Seeing a baby smile, or suck their thumb or move around inside the womb can be a life changing experience. I know for me, personally, I was able to see a 4D image of my second born nephew, Elliott and I fell to the floor in tears. To see him smiling there on the screen still in the womb was a powerful emotional and spiritual experience. I can only imagine how I will react when I see my own child's ultrasound someday. You realize that the baby is in fact ALIVE and active and CUTE! :) You can see a little bit of their personality and their appearance (mommy's nose, daddy's lips) You quickly put it together that they are a miracle, they are a living, breathing human miracle. Those images should speak for themselves.

Some people need to see both images. In fact, I think the majority of people today need to see both sides. Both are very real and both are important in understanding each vital part of the decisions to be made regarding pregnancy, life, and abortion. MYTH:

The Hyde Amendment and Capps Compromise prohibit tax payer funded abortions.

FACT:

On July 30, the House Energy and Commerce Committee added to H.R. 3200 an amendment written by staff to Chairman Henry Waxman (D-Ca.) and offered by Rep. Lois Capps (D-Ca.), both of whom have consistently pro-abortion career voting records. This “phony compromise” explicitly authorizes the “public plan” to cover all abortions.

This would drastically change longstanding federal policy. This means that any citizen who wants to take advantage of the public plan will be compelled to purchase coverage for abortion on demand.

The federal agency will collect the premium money, receive bills from abortionists, and send the abortionists payment checks from a federal Treasury account. It is a sham to pretend that this does not constitute funding of abortion. If this passes, the federal government will be running a nationwide abortion-on-demand insurance plan.

Under H.R. 3200 as amended by the Capps Amendment, some private plans may elect not to include abortion, but private plans that cover elective abortion will be federally subsidized. Both bills provide funds for the new premium-subsidy program through a new funding pipeline that would not be subject to the Hyde Amendment, which is merely a year-to-year provision that currently prevents federal funding of abortions in the Medicaid program.

As the Associated Press accurately reported in its August 5, 2009, analysis, “A law called the Hyde amendment applies the [abortion] restrictions to Medicaid . . . The [Obama-backed] health overhaul would create a stream of federal funding not covered by the restrictions.”

Further, there is no doubt whatsoever that the Obama Administration would immediately use the Capps authorization to cover elective abortions in the public plan.

On July 17, 2007, Barack Obama appeared before the annual conference of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. Speaking of his plans for “health care reform,” Obama said, “In my mind, reproductive care is essential care. It is basic care, and so it is at the center and at the heart of the plan that I propose.”

He also stated that, “What we’re doing is to say that we’re gonna set up a public plan that all persons and all women can access if they don’t have health insurance. It’ll be a plan that will provide all essential services, including reproductive services.”

Slogans like "reproductive healthcare" and "essential reproductive health services" are nothing more than marketing slogans that attempt to conceal the true agenda. Hilary Clinton herself openly states that reproductive healthcare INCLUDES abortion. We can no longer be naive, indifferent, passive or silent. We MUST urge our representatives to explicitly write in the bill that taxpayer funded abortions be REMOVED from healthcare! No American, Pro-Life or Pro-Choice, should be forced to pay for another woman's abortion. Do the right thing America.

For every woman who participates in an abortion, there is a man. Although men are less likely to seek recovery, they suffer from many of the same emotional feelings as women.

I think most of us (myself included) often forget that abortion effects men too. We understand that abortion fatally harms children, we can even acknowledge that abortion hurts women but many of us don't realize or think about the fact that men too are hurt by abortion. I think this man's testimony speaks for many and I commend him for his courage and integrity!

Unplanned Joy

Women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy also deserve unplanned joy!
While an unplanned pregnancy can be seen and felt as initial shock, fear, and panic, if given time to really think about it, not just fret about it, I think most if not all women will realize that their pregnancy, while unplanned, is still something to be happy and excited about. Yes, a baby will change your life...but I believe the change will be in more good ways than bad. Don't underestimate yourself when it comes to raising a child, no matter what the situation...You can do this. There are people who want to help you throughout your pregnancy and should you decide to keep your baby, there are people who want to support you in making sure you and your baby are taken care of! There are pregnancy resource centers across the U.S. that exist for mother's experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and are there to help regardless the circumstances. Consider your baby a gift, not a penalty, doing so will make all the difference in the world.

"The right to life should supersede all other rights because without life, no other rights would matter or exist."

This is not a quote by anyone famous or well-known....this is a definitive conclusion that I myself came to while considering the the argument of "a woman's right to choose" vs. "the unborn's right to live". For me....this statement should shatter all of the Pro-Choice arguments because the statement is unarguably true. If you or I were not living human beings, than our right to choose, our right to free speech, or any other right commonly fought for, would be non-existent. There would be no life to enforce such rights, there would be no life to protect such rights and there would be no life to create such rights. Without the establishment of life...there would be no reason for human rights to be established. Therefor I believe we should defend the right to life above all other rights. The right to life should override all other rights regardless of circumstances.

I want to share with you, a lecture given by Stephanie Gray from the Canadian Centre for Bioethical Reform entitled: "Abortion: Human Right or Human Rights Violation?" It was a part of Go Life: U of A Campus Pro-Life's Life Week 2009 guest lecture series. The sound quality is poor but you can still understand her speech. I think she makes some excellent points that address many pro-choice and pro-life arguments. (**There are no graphic images in these videos)

I like that she presents the information in a way that gives valid comparisons and at the same time is not condemning anyone or attacking anyone. She is addressing the behavior of abortion not the people who have abortions or support abortions. I think this important because many women and men have already fallen victim to the choice of abortion and feel deep sorrow and regret because of it and can be led to believe that anyone who opposes abortion is also against them. This is not at all true. In fact, most of the Pro-Life supporters I have met, including myself personally, do not want to condemn or judge women and men for what they have done or what they stand for but instead embrace them for who they are and want to help to find healing and hope after abortion and to bring to others' attention the true reality of what abortion is.

Anyone who has had an abortion is not less worthy of my love and respect than someone who has not had one. In fact, those who have said that they regret their abortion and express the after math of what abortion did in their lives (like the women of Silent No More Awareness and others who have come forward to say that they wish abortion was never made available to them) Those people have SO MUCH of my respect! Because I know how difficult it is must be to say that, to have gone through what they went through and be able to talk about it takes so much courage and strength and I admire those who do so. If you are an abortion victim and have chosen to speak the truth about it...you are a hero in my eyes. You can help others with your testimony. You have purpose and dignity just as much as the rest of us. You are an important part in all of this. You have first hand experience and that makes you a powerful witness. You represent courage, strength, resilience, dignity, and truth. That is the kind of character and integrity I can certainly admire. My love and prayers go out to all of you. You are not alone.

Stunning Documentary Reveals True Motives

What does Eugenics, Abortion, & Planned Parenthood all have in common? The answer to that question is: more than you think. There is a documentary entitled Maafa21 which reveals the true motives behind the abortion industry. There is an overwhelming amount of evidence that connects racism and genocide to Planned Parenthood, the leading abortion provider. Through quotes by Eugenicists, Politicians, and other public figures as well as through our own country's history it is revealed that the underlying motives of Planned Parenthood and that of their supporters is not merely coincidence. Did you know that the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a devout racist who created the Negro Project designed to sterilize unknowing black women and others she deemed as undesirables of society? The founder of Planned Parenthood said, "Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated." Is her vision being fulfilled today? Read these statistics and decide for yourself....

Abortion has claimed the lives of over 13 million blacks in the last 30 years. It is the leading cause of death in African Americans. More blacks are killed by abortion than heart disease, cancer, AIDS and other violent crimes COMBINED.

The CDC reports that of the approximately 4000 abortions that are performed daily in the United States, 1452 of them are performed on African American women and their pre-born children. This means that although African Americans represent only 12% of the population of the United States, they account for 35% of the abortions performed in this country. 1 in 2 black children are aborted. 50% of the African American population are killed by abortion. 78% of abortion clinics are in minority communities. These are staggering statistics and should grab our attention and question motives.

I will assure you that there are Planned Parenthood workers and volunteers who have no idea what they are actually involved in. Then there are others who will look you right in the face and tell you that racism was not the driving force behind the American Eugenics Movement. But the truth is that if slavery had never existed, Planned Parenthood would not exist today."

"Every time one eugenics strategy failed another was invented to take its place, it would be a pattern that would be continued from one generation to the next until they finally discovered the strategy that worked."

We can't be be naive and need to realize the fact that in the 1960's when African Americans began to demand civil rights for the first time in American history there began a widespread cry in our government for legalized abortion. This is not coincidence. And we need to speak out and tell our nation that enough is enough....we are not going to let this happen anymore and that we need to bring an end to this hidden racial agenda. There needs to be an end to abortion.

I want to end by sharing an interview with congressman Trent Franks about the film, he has some powerful things to say and think about. We as a nation need to realize that the eugenics movement that is occurring in our society today is wrong and needs to stop.

My Heart, Your Hands

I felt a great need to write a blog today that shares my heart. I have been posting a lot of articles, videos, quotes and my opinions about the topic of abortion and I have stated in one of my older blogs the reason why I have become so passionate about it but I don't think I've made clear my purpose in it all. I wanted to make it clear that I am not merely making a religious stand against abortion....yes, my faith has something to do with it and I am not at all ashamed to say that but that's not the full story. And the truth is that speaking out against abortion is far from easy. I have opened myself up to criticism, to hate, to judgment and risk losing support of friends and family. I would not open myself up to any of that if I didn't feel a strong conviction to speak out. It would be much easier to just keep quiet and to not share my thoughts, feelings and information I've learned with anyone. But because so many of us have been silent is the reason things have gotten to where they are. I'm willing to break out of my comfort zone and risk it all in order to help just one person. So that is what this is really all about.

I am typically a reserved person who will often only speak when spoken to...I can be kind of shy and somewhat passive, but I can't be about this. The reason why is because not only are unborn children dying but women are suffering too. I think society often focuses on the unborn and forgets that their are women who are just as much a victim as those babies. I know now that our focus needs to be even more on the women who are considering abortion and those who have already fallen victim to it. We cannot ever judge these women because we have no idea what kind of inner turmoil they are dealing with or what brought them to the place of hopelessness and desperation whether it be fear and shame because of an unplanned pregnancy or it could be fear, shame, regret because of a past abortion. The fact is that everyone of those women need hope, they need someone who cares, they need help to get through their difficult situations. They don't need us judging them that is for sure! I believe God has called me to be a representative for Him, to share with others His love and the hope and forgiveness He offers to all of us.

"He has sent me to bandage the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from the darkness for the prisoners..." (Isaiah 61:1)

Maybe I want too much to save the world because that is just the person I am. If someone is hurting, I want to help. I want to make people smile I want to see good things happen in people's lives. And my passion truly is in helping my fellow women. So for any woman reading this....if you are struggling with anything in your life...anything at all...it doesn't necessarily have to be abortion, but if you need someone who will just listen and care about YOU and genuinely wants to help you live the life God has intended for you...a full and happy life...then please contact me. If I can't help I want to help you find someone who can. But please know that my arms are wide open to embrace you exactly as you are. That comes straight from my heart.

I personally have made some terrible mistakes in my past, things I am not proud of, things that have haunted me and that I regret...but what helped me get through those times and what will get me through any rough spots ahead was and will be God Himself along with family and friends who care enough to listen and to help me get back on track. I want to be that kind of friend to you. Someone who will listen and do whatever I can to help. You don't have to share any details with me, you can simply write me and say: "I'm struggling with something in my life, could you please just pray for me." And I would feel blessed to pray for you and/or with you. I just want to be a source of help and a bridge to hope for people.

I want to share with you a few verses that have spoken to me and comforted me personally....

"This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." -Deuteronomy 30:19 (He wants all of us to choose life...not just regarding abortion but as an everyday choice...to live a life of love by accepting and following Christ.)

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land." -2 Chronicles 7:14 (It is so comforting to know that no matter what we have done in our past or how many times we screw up God is a forgiving God...all we have to do is ask.)

Anyone who belongs to Christ gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life begins! -2 Corinthians 5:17 (This may be one of my favourite verses of all time! Through Christ we are made BRAND NEW...we have a fresh start...our past is forgiven and is no longer who we are. This helped me personally in my own life. I was struggling with guilt and regret and this verse helped me to let go of it all and see myself as a new person...I am not the person I once was, in fact that person is unrecognizable to me now (although I'm still FAR from perfect) My past does not define me, I am no longer bound by my regrets because God has wiped the slate clean and I can live my life free from my past. I am so thankful for the truth and freedom in the words of this verse.

Finally, I want to ask of anyone reading this that you pray for me. As I said before, this is not easy. I know some may think that I am just talking to hear myself talk or that I am being self righteous by speaking up and saying what is on my heart because much of what I say is controversial and this is a sensitive topic but the truth is....I'm scared to death to be doing what I'm doing. I'm definitely not doing it for the hell of it. As I said before, it would be so much easier to just be silent. I'm scared of my words being misinterpreted, I'm terrified by the responsibility that comes with taking this issue on, I'm afraid of personally being judged by all of you...I am human like the rest of you. I need encouragement, I need prayers, I need love and hope. We all have something in common...we need each other whether we want to admit it or not. This is me acknowledging that I need all of you. I need your prayers and support. I appreciate each one of you who are supporting me whether it be silently or those of you who have been emailing me or calling me to tell me you have been praying for me or that you stand behind me in this. Please continue to pray for me. I very much need your prayers.

A Modern Day Holocaust?

Those are the words of a Holocaust survivor. Someone who endured some of the worst suffering and inhumane cruelty in our world's history. Many compare abortion to a present day Holocaust. I wanted to compare for myself the similarities of each catastrophic tragedy and this is what I discovered....

*Both have a form of extermination facilities for the sole purpose of killing large numbers of humans at a time.
--One is termed gas chamber the other is termed abortion mill or abortion clinic.

*Both are a form of mass murdering that result in the death of millions of innocent victims.
-- Holocaust: 6 million Abortion: 50 million (and counting)

*Both justified acts secondary to the belief that the victims are not fully human.

*Both killed by licensed doctors

*Both infringe on a person's rights
--both take a person's right to life

*Both kill for the sake of being able to kill without just reasons and without legal consequences
--this is also termed as genocide

Shouldn't we learn from history? Just because someone comes along to say that genocide is OK doesn't mean it is OK and that we should make it legal, acceptable and easily accessible.

I pray that our nation will wake up and realize that we are in the midst of a modern day Holocaust and that we will someday soon, stop the genocide of our own human kind. We need to become part of the Resistance. Speak out against the mass murdering that is happening in our land! Help to bring an end to abortion. Be part of the solution, part of the rescue team. When the history books are written I want to be on the side of truth on the side of love and compassion. What side do you want to be on? We must choose sides just as Elie Wiesel says because "neutrality helps the oppressor never the victim". Let's write history that our future generations will be proud to read. Let's not go down in history as a dark plague era. We can give our future generations hope and better place to live simply by choosing life.

Pro-life arguments are now based on scientific evidence and the pro-choice arguments are not. So the real question today is not when human life begins, but, What is the value of human life?

Everyone argues: But it is the mother's CHOICE. Let's talk about what that "choice" really is....

Webster's Dictionary definition of abortion:
"the termination of a pregnancy resulting in the death of the embryo or fetus."

Let's break it down to understand what it all really means...

definition of Termination: to bring to an end to, to stop or to limit something from happening; to end or limit existence.

definition of Pregnancy: containing a developing embryo, fetus or unborn offspring within the body

definition of Death: the end of life, the total and permanent cessation of all the vital functions of an organism; extinction, destruction, life coming to an end

definition of Embryo: the early stages of human development within the womb up to the end of the second month

definition of Fetus: unborn young; a human infant from the eighth week of development to birth; from the latin meaning young one

So as you can clearly see by definition, abortion is the intentional destruction, distinguishing or death of a human life. We will fight for the sanctity of life for human lives outside the womb but even though science proves that life begins at conception we still have so many that fight for the right of women to kill the very weakest of our human species, the very life inside them, our unborn babies. They speak as though a woman's right to choose is respectful, harmless and empowering. What is respectful about killing a defenseless human life who did nothing to provoke such an execution? What is harmless about ending a life and in some cases even hurting the mother? And what is empowering about an undeniably stronger person intentionally killing the weakest and most defenseless of our human kind? That is what we would otherwise call an unfair fight. What gives the mother more power and rights over her child's right to live? The right to life should override any other rights because without life, no other rights would matter or exist. So regardless of whether or not the mother doesn't want the child or can't afford the child or whatever the excuses may be those rights which have become severely selfish should never supersede the right of the child to have life. To have a fair chance at life.

I hear so much from society about what is "fair" or what we "deserve"...what is truly fair about abortion? Does any child deserve to die to an abortionists knife? People preach about equal rights and that God created all men equal...so when did we take such a hypocritical stand when it comes to abortion? Shouldn't those unborn children have just as much a right to live as we do?! We have grown to be so much of a selfish society and have an "every man for himself" attitude that we have made such an undeniably selfish act seem acceptable. I am standing out today to say this is wrong. No one should die simply because someone else wills it so. How arrogant of us to think that we can decide who should live or die.

Did you know that if someone kills a pregnant woman and in turn the baby dies it is considered a double homicide? The Unborn Victims of Violence Act protects "the child in utero" and actually defines the unborn as a member of the human species therefor protecting it by law against a violent act resulting in death. Of course this law does not apply to deaths resulting from abortion....but why? Isn't it the same concept? A death of a baby still occurs in the case of abortion and yet the child is not protected by law and there is no accountability for this type of murder. There is a sense of double standards here. We can't say we are going to protect human lives in some cases and then not do so in others. It doesn't uphold a respect for life. And without a global respect for life how do we expect disrespect for life not to occur? (ie: rape, molestation, murder, etc.)
